One of the best allergy friendly restaurants/shops I've been to in Japan. Gluten-free and Dairy-free options are available. Everything is well labelled, the staff are really friendly and they sell bentos! Plus of course it's really delicious food !!! 🍴 I came by here again and they didn't serve food anymore but still were able to provide me with food to go and some food advice on what I could buy. I really recommend this place if you're in sendai or in the area.

5+ stars! As someone who has gluten intolerance, appreciates excellent food and warm service, I cannot recommend this restaurant/store enough! We returned two days in a row, and would have a third+ if not for us leaving town. Also, very reasonably priced for the portions. They use gluten-free soy sauce in all their recipes, and all pastries are made with rice flour! This is nearly impossible to find in Japan. The menu labels each option with the allergen it contains, which includes meat (what Japan classifies as food allergies, like apples). One of the owners speaks good enough English to have conversation, and both servers we interacted with were very nice and helped explain the menu. The spaghetti was delicious, much sweeter than the American version, and I recommend the oyster strew as well. The salad had a scoop of potato salad, made with (of course) gluten free mayonnaise. Will be returning next time in Tohoku. I’m hoping their online presence overseas increases and they get even more business, because this place is a hidden gem.

My gluten-free meal at Healthy Hut. Chicken nuggets far better than KFC (sorry, Colonel). They were in a class by themselves. Had a corn soup that tasted like cornbread soup (yummy). Miso soup that was better than any miso soup I had in the U.S. (besides my wife's--she makes a fabulous miso soup). I also had spaghetti--they allow you to replace the regular noodles with gluten-free noodles. It was so very _delicious_. Like seriously delicious. Then came the desert. Now, normally I'm not a fan of cold coffee. But included was coffee gelatin that was quite good. Fruit gelatin, ice cream, and a strawberry. Overall, the whole experience was almost a culinary religious experience.

Great celiac friendly cafe restaurant. Rare find in Japan. Dedicated menu and understanding owners and staff. Home style cooking. Organic foods and wines. High recommemd this even if not celiac. Food is hearty amd service is warm. My wife is celiac and loves this place. Please give this small family cafe a go.
