NON PROTATE AD ANDARCI PLEASE DON’T GO THERE A person of dubious professionalism, left us stunned by their behavior and slowness.. the place is closed during opening hours, when open they don't let you in, they don't accept POS because they don't feel like it.

If you find yourself in Manarola for a day, there’s a place that is truly worth trying: the rosticceria–focacceria Il Discovolo, a small sign along the main street leading down to the sea. It’s one of those simple, unpretentious spots, but perfect when you want to grab something good and quick while exploring the village. Online reviews talk about focaccia, sliced pizzas, farinata, and options for vegetarians and celiacs, and I can confirm that it's exactly the kind of place that saves your day when you want something tasty without sitting down at a restaurant. The staff is friendly, the service is quick, and the prices are fair for being in the Cinque Terre. The cheese and pesto focaccia is one of the most recommended, and the farinata is really worth it too. It's the classic place that makes you want to come back, especially if you love Ligurian street food. A day in Manarola flows by pleasantly. After grabbing something from Il Discovolo, you can stroll along Via Renato Birolli, the heart of the village, right down to the small harbor. From there, the walk to Belvedere Punta Bonfiglio begins, one of the most famous viewpoints in the Cinque Terre, perfect for taking unforgettable photos. If you have time, also head up to the Church of San Lorenzo, with its Gothic rose window and view of the sea. Manarola is a place to be savored slowly: colors, scents, sea, vineyards, and that sense of peace that only Ligurian villages can offer. And a stop at Il Discovolo is the ideal way to add an authentic flavor to your visit.

Great experience! We came all the way to Manarola to try the gluten-free focaccia, Enrico and Gianna welcomed us at the focacceria where we found excellent products and a good dose of friendliness. The GLUTEN-FREE products are prepared in a SEPARATE OVEN, top! Highly recommended!

SCAM. An insult to real bakers! Extremely long waits for a pesto focaccia forgotten in the oven, a "Manarola pizza" which is a slice of frozen pizza (specifically the Tre Mulini from Eurospin) topped with pesto and a rubbery rosemary focaccia from the day before. Total price €15, unacceptable and disrespectful. However, the presence of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free dishes is appreciated, which are very difficult to find in the Cinque Terre.

I must preface that my boyfriend and I didn't even taste the focaccia because we decided to leave after an extremely rude response from the owner. The gluten-free display had little selection, so I asked the owner if anything else would be coming out in the following minutes. In response, the owner, pointing at the ALMOST EMPTY display as if to demonstrate that I had all the choices in the world, with a sarcastic and annoyed tone, said to me, 'Sorry, what did you expect to come out?' and walked away without giving me the chance to order. Terrible experience; it comforts me that, having read the other reviews, it seems this gentleman has reserved this polite treatment for more people.

Located in the "second" of the Five Lands, Manarola, this little place offers culinary options for all types of dietary needs. Besides classic pizzas, focaccias, and farinata, it proposes sweet and savory dishes that are gluten-free, lactose-free, and vegan. The prices are affordable and the staff is friendly. I tried the typical farinata with pesto and for a snack, I had a slice of vegan chocolate cake!

Finally a gluten-free focaccia in the land of focaccias!! The gentleman is available and kind. I took both the farinata and the focaccia with pesto and stracchino. What can I say.. they were drenched in pesto and stracchino, a dream!!
