We used to love this little canal side gem. A haven from the high street chains (despite being a chain), unique in its lovely waterside place away from the busy and commercial Hackney. But so disappointed yesterday. Arrived to a dirty table and a menu not reflective of what we remembered of Arepa and Co. You can no longer just get an arepa on its own. Instead you have to order a combined meal with no options to swap and get the arepa on its own. At £17.50 for an arepa and fries, Arepa and Co is no longer fun ‘street food’ it’s more sit down and part with at least £50 for quick lunch and drinks. Also- please note that there are no more helpful markers about gluten free options on the menu. No mention of gluten free at all, despite arepas being quite famous for being an easy gf option. We left and when to a restaurant in Angel.

Posizione incantevole, il miglior cibo senza glutine della zona!!! Prezzi molto buoni e molto gustoso. Ci tornerei assolutamente.

Cibo venezuelano molto gustoso, offerto in porzioni piccole o come piatti principali. Per il brunch, vengono serviti colazioni con ingredienti tradizionali venezuelani. La maggior parte dei piatti è senza glutine (evviva!), e sono disponibili opzioni vegetariane e vegane. Lato canale, ha una grande vetrina con vista sull'acqua e un po' di spazio all'aperto.

had a lovely evening sitting outside on a warm night.... staff qere absolutely lovely and so attentive... excellent for gluten free options! cocktails were also lush! Pabellon beef and cheesey pastries were a massive hit!

Arepa came with great recommendations from a gluten free blogger I follow and from a friend who lives locally a tue haggerstonite? Is that correct. I am glad to say I wasn't disappointed not only did the waitress know about coealic she made sure I only ordered the best options taste wise, hunger and Celia friendly wise. Can you tell I love it? Also amazing cocktails but drank them to quickly to take a photo. Also who doesn't want to eat besides the regent canal? #glutenfree
