Friends and I ate here as it’s one of the few places in Tokyo that was totally gluten free. My friend had been before and wanted to revisited. Chicken katsu was delicious- you’d never know it was gluten free. Some with the dumplings. Cute little place, located up the stairs, so you need to look out for the sign on the street. Service was good and able to help us with translation. Recommend, even if you’re not gluten free.

Okay so hands down best experience in Tokyo food wise. My 8 year old has never experienced orange chicken and she fell in love. It was crispy and delicious. We ordered so much, probably half the menu. The steamed meat bun was delicious. It’s more of a thick mochi bun rather than a traditional but, but honestly I enjoyed it more than the wheat version I’ve had. Another stand out was the ginger steak. The sauce was very good and the meat was so tender. We also ordered two more chicken dishes and while good, we preferred the orange chicken. We also had the French fry’s and while good we’ve had better. But hey my kid was super excited for them so that’s what matters. The only thing I wouldn’t order again were the chicken dumplings. The flavor was just off and the wrappers fell apart. It was just such a treat to be in a restaurant where my daughter was safe and could literally pick anything. The selection is fairly large and allowed her to try some more Japanese style food which was lacking on this trip.

Cibo giapponese senza glutine sorprendente!

We dined here on new years day. We made the reservation months in advanced I preparation for our trip to Japan, with much excitement from great the reviews. However, the experience and food did not live up to these reviews. As other reviews have mentioned, hygiene appears to be an issue at this restaurant. The glasses provided to us for our water were disgusting. They were literally covered in grease, smudges, and food residue. I waited until one of the staff were nearby to ask for different glasses. She did not seemed phased in the slightest and gave us slightly less dirty glasses. The cutlery at the able were also greasy and didn't seem to be cleaned properly. I wiped down the cutlery with the sealed wetwipes at the table. When the food was served, the rim of the dishes were also dirty (and not from the food on the plate). The water pitcher was also dirty and had hair and dust on it. It also seemed like the floors were a bit grubby. The restaurant is very very small and can feel very claustrophobic. You're basically elbow to elbow with the other few tables and brush past people when trying to walk by. The food itself was incredibly average at best. Everything was just... Bland. The chicken katsu was crispy but tasted like nothing. No seasoning whatsoever. The rice with it was quite dry. The salad was fine. The katsu sauce just tasted sweet. The takoyaki were alright but didn't really have any octopus in them. The chicken dumplings were sadly so so so bland. It tasted like nothing when we ate them. The dumpling wrapper was fried on one side but had no crisp to it. The whole wrapper was basically mush. The curry ramen just tasted salty with sweetness to it. The beer was okay. We've had some good gluten free beer but this one was meh. They provide gluten free soy sauce and their chilli sauce at the table, which was nice. I dumped that chilli sauce onto most of my food to add some flavour. It wasn't spicy at all but had flavour, which was very much appreciated. We ordered their cookies and brownies for dessert. The brownie was okay. I've bought and made some great gluten free brownies. These were average, cakey brownies that didn't have a strong chocolate flavour. The cinnamon cookies were okay. They came sealed in a bag. They tasted like flour and cinnamon and were a bit dry. Again, I've had some good gluten free cookies but these were just okay. It is expensive to eat gluten free in Japan, so I can understand the pricing for most of the food, however, it still felt a bit steep for what is was. I've eaten at some great gluten free restaurants in Japan and this just wasn't one of them. I don't think we'd come back here if we were given the option. It was a bit sad for a new years dinner but it was nice to be able to have a hot gluten free meal, I guess. It was just a disappointing experience and the hygiene issues made it worse.
