*** Honestly, this has been one of the best food experiences of our trip here in Japan (we have tried many Japanese foods) thanks to Yasu and Monja Katō *** Myself, my girlfriend and her friend were pleasantly greeted and served by Yasu who is one of the Monjayaki chefs at MK. He is a friendly, polite, and an excellent chef (also a student at a Tokyo university). My girlfriend is gluten free (not celiac) and dairy conscious - Monja Katō was worth a try thanks to majority of the menu being gluten free! We were very pleased with the quality of the meals especially for price. We enjoyed edamame and tofu appetisers, three main dishes and several different drinks. Yasu has amazing hospitality skills and ensured each dish was prepared and cooked properly as well as super tasty! He is also a very respectful and considerate individual. His English was at a level whereby we could have nice small conversations as he cooked in front of us. Please note: We have never had this style of food before so we were unsure what to expect. We were very happy we chose this restaurant for their service and food.
