Among the best restaurants in Roccaraso, cozy dining area, well-furnished, especially during annual holidays like Christmas, with a nativity scene and typical Christmas decorations. Although not very large, there is the possibility to book two seating times for lunch or dinner. The staff is friendly, prepared, and fast. The cuisine is excellent, with ordered appetizers of typical cheeses and cured meats, and chicken with sauce. The first courses are great, with superb tagliatelle with mixed mushrooms and truffle slices, good pumpkin cream gnocchi with speck, and also good tagliatelle with pistachio cream and crispy guanciale. For my celiac son, I ordered porcini mushroom gnocchi, and the staff was attentive to food intolerances. Gluten-free bread was missing. For the second course, the Angus steak was very good, abundant, and well-cooked. The wine list is good; we chose a Montepulciano Colle Cavalieri from the Tollo winery, full-bodied and balanced. The desserts are also good. I recommend this restaurant for the quality of the food and the good quality-price ratio. I will definitely return.

A typical trattoria where you can have lunch after a day on the slopes of Roccaraso. The staff was friendly and professional. The quality of the food is average. The service was quite fast. The atmosphere is informal. It's advisable to book because the place isn't very large. They have two lunch shifts: 12:30-14:30. They also have some gluten-free options. The fries are homemade, hand-cut. The bathroom is very small. Parking is easy to find on the road in front of the place. Excellent value for money.

What can I say? A TOP place! The food is excellent from appetizers to the mains to the entire menu!! There were some uncertainties from the waiters about gluten-free options, but once we figured it out, those dishes were also very, very good. We will definitely return!

Trattoria restaurant in Roccaraso, abundant portions and good raw materials, they still don't have gluten-free pasta, bread, or desserts for us celiacs (I must say you are not at all obliged to have them, but a bit of bread and a packaged dessert can make a difference...). They are still always attentive to the issue.
