If I could give 6 stars, this place would deserve them! Super granitas, excellent ice creams and cakes! Additionally, which is uncommon, there are gluten-free cones and gluten-free and vegan brioche (as in the photo). Highly recommended!

Last Sunday we had breakfast with granita and brioche at the ice cream shop of the famous Master Ice Cream Maker Peppe Arena, a source of pride for Messina. Climbing the few steps feels like entering a Sicilian art gallery; besides the paintings with typical designs, the chairs and tables are also painted with the same theme. Everything is very pleasant. The vast selection of products displayed is excellent. I enjoyed the mulberry granita while my two grandchildren chose lemon underneath, strawberry on top, and covered with cream, while the little boy preferred the pistachio flavor with cream. After that, we selected various types of ice cream to treat my dear guests from Rome, one of whom is diabetic and another is celiac. The many half-liter thermal containers held ice creams with seasonal fruits, including strawberry and mulberry, local citrus fruits, as well as classic flavors like bacio and hazelnut. It is very difficult for me to say which flavor my guests liked the most because they were all soft, creamy, and of excellent quality. Nevertheless, the tri-citrus flavor was particularly appreciated.
