Perfect for a quick lunch inside the Sanctuary. I went to eat at this refectory really skeptical given the online reviews. Although super crowded, the staff is very kind. They have 3 types of menus: "normal", gluten free, and vegetarian. The menus cost 13 euros if consumed as takeout; otherwise, it's 21 euros. Anyway, it's also possible not to take the full menu and just eat one dish of your choice. The quality of the food is not from a Michelin-starred restaurant; when you sit down, you must be aware that this is a "refectory"!!! I had a great time; I eat without being vegetarian as well as gluten-free, and I wasn't seen as an alien!!! I was offered: penne with tomato sauce, a huge plate of vegetables (I had a hard time finishing it). I limited myself to these two dishes; otherwise, I could have added a plate of mixed cheeses or an omelet. Animals are also allowed.

We had a very good lunch, they also have a gluten-free menu. The cost is reasonable, the dishes are tasty, simple, and quite abundant. You can choose to eat at the table or they can prepare a takeaway menu for you to enjoy in the woods. Please make sure to not leave any litter behind. We stayed at the table, I’ll leave the menu and a few photos below =^.^=

Three types of takeaway menus (classic, vegetarian, gluten-free). 13 euros for takeaway (you can eat anywhere, even inside the many venues of the guesthouse if you wish). Perfect so far. Too bad the quality of the dishes is disgraceful. In the classic menu: pasta with rotten salty ragù, a pink plastic sausage, two mini slices of pork loin with an indescribable taste (the university cafeteria was a delight in comparison), French fries (those were good!). In the vegetarian menu: pasta with tomato, two leaves of lettuce, and three corn kernels, Philadelphia cream cheese, and vegetables like eggplant and peppers that I can't recall how they were cooked (roasted in broth, kind of). There are no excuses for such poor quality of raw materials. Simple and frugal cooking doesn’t mean cheap stuff from a discount store! I was really disgusted.
