The place is very nice and the food is completely gluten-free, so there's zero risk of contamination. Be careful, though; it's not cheap.

Expected a lot more given the reviews. Got the rainbow one and couldn’t finish it, one of them I had to spit out :( I’ve had vegan sushi before and this did not live up at all. The dessert box was better, tiramisu was the best of all

The best vegan & gluten-free sushi I've ever had in my life (even better than classic sushi). Informal atmosphere, too bad you can't choose the combinations (it's better to take the pre-prepared boxes). Mine is the Rainbow 🌈 Very cute idea with the sweet sushi... in short, you are ahead! Wow!! What an incredible find- This was incredible- we walked miles to get there and omg it was worth it ! Firstly the staff (all of whom are vegan ) were absolutely fantastic, so friendly, so knowledgeable- they explained things to us clearly and concisely. We basically ordered everything on the menu and waited while they got it ready , they were meticulous in preparing and packing our order to the highest degree. Absolutely sensational flavours and tastes, such inventive and awesome combinations. The sweet dessert sushi is quite simply out of this world ! Yes a touch pricey but it’s Milan and a small business and worth every single euro. I would order from here every week if I could. Highly recommended 👌🏿

I went to lunch today at this place, which is entirely plant-based sushi and gluten-free. They offer an à la carte menu or the option to choose from different boxes that contain a wide selection of dishes with seasonal, fresh, and quality ingredients (not the usual avocado and cucumbers). Everything was delicious, tasty, and the portions were just right. They also offer a selection of sweet sushi and have various unique drinks, such as canned infusions and different types of kombucha, also in cans. They mostly operate with takeout, but during the time I visited, it wasn't crowded, and we were able to dine indoors. Absolutely recommended, I will return.

Creative and mostly delicious food. Had the rainbow box with 24 pieces. The taste is good and varied. The texture is a bit odd in some of the rolls. The price is fair for the experience.

Extraordinary food, one of the best places in Milan! They have a lot of varieties of sushi and the menu is seasonal, so there's an embarrassment of choice. The staff are super friendly and kind, they explained in detail the types of products and welcomed us even though we arrived just before closing. The whole menu is gluten-free. I can't recommend this place enough, if not, in short, GO THERE 🌟

*Fantastic* food! I dropped into EssenzaSushi in a hurry, looking for some decent food to take on a long train journey to Paris. I was not disappointed! I grabbed the rainbow box and the protein box (my partner needed lunch too), and it was some of the best food I've ever tasted. It was all super delicious and really colourful too. The boxes contained a great selection, and the rainbow box even had some sweet sushi for dessert. I'm not a big fan of traditional sushi, so I don't usually eat it, but this vegan sushi experience changed everything for me! The man at the counter was also super helpful. He explained what was in the boxes and gave me a copy of the menu, which lists the contents, to take away. Another thing that's super helpful is that the sushi are boxed up ready to take away immediately, with chopsticks and napkins provided in the box. Perfect takeaway food. Couldn't recommend it more highly.
