I went a few evenings ago; they have gluten-free pasta available and can make it with the sauce you prefer. I had a delicious amatriciana. I had no contamination issues after the meal. The pasta was al dente and the sauce very good.

Among the alleys next to the Colosseum, just steps from the wonderful Villa Celimontana, there is a corner of "home" that offers freshly cooked dishes prepared with the mastery of ancient Roman tradition in a modern setting within a trattoria with an old-fashioned feel. Perhaps the only place that resists the easy temptations of tourist trash! You will find an Italian chef and a welcoming environment, you will eat very well, and the quality/price ratio is undoubtedly excellent! The quality of the food will surprise you.

Returning to Bocconcino after several years, I went there with a group of colleagues. It’s always a joy to see that over time, certain places remain true to the appreciated quality, even more so if, as in this case, you find the venue beautifully renovated and enlarged, with welcoming, friendly staff who are attentive to the guests' needs. And lastly, but most importantly, the food is even better—without a doubt an excellent excursion into Roman cuisine and tradition, made with modernity and mastery by the chef. In particular, I want to highlight the exquisite duck ragù, the superb matriciana, and the boiled meatballs served with green sauce. As an additional element that definitely recommends the place and makes me convinced to return, is the ability to fully and excellently satisfy the needs of two people: one is celiac and lactose intolerant, while the other is vegetarian. In short, a lunch deserving a 10 and praise.
