I had gluten-free bread, panelle, crocchè, and fried eggplants! Really delicious. I always advise remembering your intolerance or (like in my case, celiac disease). They cannot guarantee 100% absence of contamination, but the sandwich was prepared in a different area.

What an incredible little sandwich shop right in the heart of Sciacca! Anyone will love this classic walk-up shop, but it especially caters to the needs of the gluten intolerant. My wife and I had panelle and eggplant sandwiches with a side of fries for just 11 euros! Just a few of the many things I love about this place: * walk-up service * opens early in case you want a light dinner and don’t want to wait for restaurants to open at 7-7:30 PM * delicious! * affordable * fast (food is ready in minutes so don’t be put off if there is a line - it will go quick and is worth the wait) * anything on the menu can be served gluten free * panelle is a must for visitors to Sicily, and this is some of the best I’ve had * I don’t know if this was on purpose or not, but it has a real New York City vibe (and yes, I’m from NY). There’s even a small shelf alongside the shop in case you want to stand and eat it there Not to be missed!

Great panel bar in the center of Sciacca for take-away. They offer sandwiches with panelle, eggplants, croquettes, etc., both gluten-free and with gluten. There's no place to eat inside, but you can enjoy your food while walking around Sciacca or on the benches of the nearby squares.
