I wanted to have a spritz and a cutting board exclusively of cured meats before going to dinner. After about twenty minutes, having finished the drinks, the cutting board still hadn't arrived. I went to the cashier to ask if it would take much longer and I was told that a tasting board of cheeses had been mistakenly prepared. Since almost everyone at the table was lactose intolerant and since it was getting late, I asked if I could pay the bill. The owner (I assume), or at least an employee, arrogantly exclaimed: 'Is there a show?' to undermine our urgency to leave. The spritz was okay.
