We had a great time at Leadbelly’s. Food was delicious, the servers were so friendly and cheerful. Can’t fault anything! They accommodated well for Gluten Free, with a large gf menu. And when I asked if we could have candles in a desert for a birthday and they did so with ease. We will definitely be coming back!

I consider myself a breakfast snob and I can say that the breakfast served here was very good indeed. Lovely polite staff with a lovely warm atmosphere. The menu caters for most tastes but does clearly state on the menu that they cannot serve customers with gluten free needs or with celiac disease. Very reasonably priced. Overall a very good experience.

Leadbelly’s is a stylish, industrial‑chic spot right off Canada Water Station—decked out with vibrant artwork inside and a spacious outdoor terrace perfect for sunny days and alfresco drinks . You’ll feel immediately at ease in its laid‑back, contemporary vibe—ideal for brunch, after‑work pints, or catching live sports across their multiple big screens . Menu & Drinks • Food: Expect classic British fare with delicious twists—think crisp fish & chips (winner of an “Excellent Fish & Chips 2024” nod) . They also serve shakshuka, gluten‑free burgers, vegetarian options, and a rightly praised Sunday roast . • Drinks: A strong selection of beers, cocktails, wines—and drinks deals like “two cocktails for £15” during happy hour . Creative concoctions (like a lemongrass‑laced gin sour) have even been ⸻ 🌟 Spotlight on Alex, Our Hostess with the Mostest If you end up being greeted by Alex, you’re in for a treat: • Friendly & Memorable: Alex consistently welcomes guests with warmth and genuine enthusiasm—one reviewer said she “made me feel at home straight away.” • Effortlessly Professional: Whether coordinating table bookings, guiding guests to their seats, or making small talk, Alex keeps it smooth, upbeat, and 100% organised. • Extra Touches: From recommending personal favourites on the menu to offering kids crayons or adapting dishes, Alex goes above and beyond to personalise the experience—similar to how Ellie was singled out as “exceptional” by others (). In short, your visit will almost certainly be elevated if Alex is on shift—she’s the epitome of hospitality with personality.

I used to love this place. One of the few places in London that does decent gluten free. I was here a few days ago and the food was awful, dried out, overcooked and appeared like it was recooked from the day before. What has happened in the kitchen.. please review your food quality.

Came here for brunch on a Saturday morning. The food was lovely although weren’t a lot of options for ‘breakfast’. I had the avocado, egg and buttered potato bun dish and added salmon. My friend had a gluten free option. Service was friendly and welcoming. It was a lovely sunny days and the. Had the windows and doors open which was nice, however the fumes and smells from the food vans out front kept blowing in. We’ll return again.

Have been here quite a few times with my friend who is gluten-free as they do GF food and always have a relaxed vibe. This evening, I came with my partner, had another yummy meal (pork belly burger and dirty fries) and was served by a lovely young lady called Tillie who gave us gorgeous customer service. Thanks Leadbelly, thanks Tillie!

Loved this place! Leadbelly's Bar & Kitchen has such a cool vibe—think industrial-chic meets cozy hangout. The food was awesome, and they’ve got great options for everyone, including vegans and gluten-free folks. Their happy hour cocktails were top-notch, and the prices were fair. The staff were super friendly and made us feel right at home. Perfect spot for a chill night out or just grabbing a few bites and drinks. Highly recommend!

I was really happy to try their gluten free fish and chips. Very big portion, it was tasty.

My first stop on my UK trip was to Leadbelly’s in London! They are 98% gluten free and have dedicated fryers/prep space! I have the Lamb Shank Sunday Roast that came with mixed vegetables, a gluten free Yorkshire pudding and gravy! It was delish and a great start!

Had a delicious lunch here with the family on bank holiday. Our waitress Kelly was absolutely AMAZING! She was very friendly and helpful. Most of my family are either gluten or diary intolerant and the menu had many many suitable options. The food was delicious and we will be back!

Great selection on the menu, including lots of gluten free options. The fish and chips were excellent, and quite large portions...the only downside was having no room for dessert! The bar side was quite loud and crowded but the restaurant side was quieter. Would definitely recommend and will come back if ever in London again!

Made a special trip to Leadbelly's the day after my birthday for one of the best gluten free Sunday roasts I've had so far. The huge gluten free Yorkshire was a source of great joy. I ordered an extra one, which was well worth it. The whole menu is well thought out and I can't wait to go back and try one of the other GF and Dairy Free options

Wow!! This restaurant has a menu with 98% gluten free dishes!! They were also able to cater for my low fodmap diet (which isn't easy). The staff are lovely and so helpful. I will definitely be going back!!

Review from a happy coeliac :-) Simply tremendous place to eat with hugely varied menu, wonderful flavors, comfortable surroundings and friendly service. The Venue - Light & lively bar at the front looking out at Canada Water Library & Canada Water, cosy & comfortable restaurant towards the back with some views of the lovely Albion Channel. Special mention to the variety of seating suitable for solos, couples, small and large groups. Extra points that acoustics in the restaurant allow for easy conversation even during popular times unlike many entirely open plan venues. The Menu - Brunch foods, Bites, Burgers, Sides, Mains, Sunday Roasts, Sharing Plates, Desserts, huge variety! Strong Southern USA influence shines through but the menu is inventive & delightful, not derivative. Delights for meat lovers & vegetarians are plentiful and almost all the menu is gluten-free or with a gluten-free option including Yorkshire Puds! Definitely safe for coeliacs. The Food - Wow. Best Cheesecake I have devoured & immediately wanted seconds of in my life? Yes. Moist crumbly cornbread ideal for mopping up the very tasty remnants of anything & everything? Yes. The best gluten-free Fish & Chips in Central London? Very possibly! The Service - Friendly & fast, on each visit the staff have really enhanced my experience. For coeliacs, very gluten aware and capable.
