We had the most exceptional stay at the Savoy and could not recommend it enough - it truly lives up to its world class reputation. The leisure facilities are surprisingly well equipped for a city centre hotel, with a spacious gym and a luxurious 5x9 metre warm pool for bathing and light swimming. Uniquely, the sauna and steam room was within the changing rooms which is a nice touch if you’re looking for a single gendered experience. The hotel room itself was spacious and comfortable with the luxurious bathroom being a standout aspect. Finally, breakfast was a transformative experience and I would recommend going just to experience that alone. Upon being greeted, you are offered any newspaper you wish and then taken to your table where you are served fresh coffee/tea and fresh juices. The menu is extensive and perfectly cooked. They catered excellently for my gluten-free diet notably with a homemade blueberry muffin to replace usual pastries which was delicious. Overall, we had a sensational stay. The location is unbeatable but the standout aspect was the excellent service from all staff members. They were all utterly polite, friendly and welcoming!
