I love Ikea. As an expat, it is our best friend. My experience here in Barcelona was weird and disappointing in best terms. The sales people were extremely helpful, we prepared a massive order in less than 2 hours. Then the nightmare started. The same night I realized there was a big mistake with the order-like 4 sofas instead of 1, 4 footstools instead of 1 etc etc... In a nutshell, 1/3 of the order was wrong which was already paid. The next day, I rushed into Ikea to fix the mistake but customer service told me the only way to fix it was to cancel the order. Which meant I have to pay again, lose my delivery slot and wait for a refund to an international card. So instead of canceling, I had to opt for delivery. The poor delivery guys carried massive sofas, desks, stools 2 floors up only to be returned after few days. The best thing about Ikea can surpringly be the call center. Yes, the waiting time was horrendous but all agents I talked to were stars! Special thanks goes to Diana who was very helpful, patient, and her attitude made me feel better. Ikea, I still love you but sometimes you really break my heart.
