We recently gardened here with three people because there are also gluten-free burgers, which was important for one of us. A paper menu was only available upon request, as the menu via QR code was very poorly readable. Unfortunately, the printed menu was not much better, as it was just a printout of the QR menu. There is significant potential for improvement. The staff was helpful and appropriately friendly, and the burgers arrived at our table in an acceptable time. In terms of taste, we would say: upper middle class. Those with a big appetite will certainly not feel full with one burger, as was the case for me, despite the fries on the side. Thus, the price-performance ratio is not quite right.

Good gluten-free burger – but still room for improvement At New City Smash Burger, we were curious to see if we would finally find the gluten-free burger – we’re not quite there yet. Positives: Gluten-free was no problem, and a meat burger without dairy was easily implemented (vegan sauces are available). That’s definitely a plus. Flavor-wise, the burger was good but not outstanding. The consistency leaned a bit towards 'mushy', it simply lacked that freshness kick. Also, the setup didn’t quite fit for us: no classic burger with tomato and skewer on the plate, but rather simply in a bag – practical, but not the experience you wish for. Conclusion: It’s doable, a solid option – but there’s still room for improvement.

Aside from the fact that you can only pay in cash, it is really very good. The gluten-free options are very tasty and always suitable for celiacs. The seating is very nice, and there is a large selection of burgers and drinks.

Very good burger! 🍔 Super delicious, juicy, and fresh – clear 10/10. And as a fries lover, I have to say: The fries were just amazing! 🍟😍 Nice and crispy, really good. Big plus: All burgers are also available gluten-free or vegan 🌱🙌 The staff was super friendly and helpful. We will gladly come back!

Great for gluten-free folks! We went out as a family (2 with celiac and 2 without) and the staff was very knowledgeable, well aware of cross-contamination, and explained everything in detail. We felt very safe. The burgers and fries were also delicious. Highly recommended!

We were super satisfied! Our burgers and fries were served quickly and tasted really good. Each menu could be ordered in a gluten-free and vegetarian variant :) The staff was also very friendly and the atmosphere was very nice with pleasant music (e.g. Joji 😍, Tame Impala,..)

Small restaurant with a lot of very tasty options! Every burger can be ordered glutenfree. Vegan options available as well. Super tasty buns! Separate cooking area to avoid cross contamination. Staff is knowledgeable, owner has celiac disease herself. Felt safe right from the beginning! Will be back for sure.

We became aware through a social media post that there are gluten-free burgers here. Since I have an intolerance, we definitely wanted to try the restaurant. At first glance, it was a bit inconspicuous since the gluten-free options are not listed on the menu – this could be improved on the menu. You can get great advice from the staff, and with the exception of 1-2 burgers (Mac n' Cheese, etc.), all burgers and fries are gluten-free for just a €1.50 surcharge. The food was really very good, and you couldn't tell that the bread was gluten-free. This was one of the best experiences I have had with my intolerance in Hamburg so far. Definitely worth every penny, especially with intolerances!
