Please note that all the dishes in this place are without gluten and lactose. I ordered the ossobuco and it was delicious, but it arrived a bit cold on the table (as if it had waited too long in the kitchen before being served). My boyfriend, on the other hand, had the inverse problem: his penne Genovese was too hot. He also mentioned it was salty. The dessert cake was unimpressive. Also, the wine glasses are unexplainably expensive (costed the same as some cocktails). Overall, we did not feel inclined to return.

Interesting new Italian eatery just opened up in a very competitive area of Mitte. It's very close to Torstaße and as a result needs to be on top of its game if it has any chance of succeeding. Cheap Italian pizza and pasta restaurants are very numerous in this area but this is not one of these! This is a niche Italian restaurant specialising in gluten and lactose free Italian staples like Carbanara and Lasagne. The ambience in the restaurant is rather interesting with a glass fronted kitchen so you can see into the inner workings of a busy professional kitchen. Nice touch. A unique glass elevator takes you downstairs (you can use the stairs!) to the toilets. It's a little 'clinical for my tastes but if modern is your thing, you will like it. Service was great. Attentive and knowledgeable. Perfect balance. The food was also well above par. My carbanara was perfectly prepared and the lasagne my wife had was equally well cooked. Salad was a little bland and needed something to lift it up. Only 2 small issues that need to be mentioned was that 1) we waited for a good 40mins for our main courses, which i felt was not justified as it was not a completely full sitting when we were there and 2) for the money I really expected to be blown away by hand made pasta but, unfortunately, the pasta on all our dishes certainly did not taste or look like hand made to us. I ended the meal with a very stodgy dessert I couldn't have finished even if I had wanted to. All in all at €150 for 3 people, value for money is definitely lacking here. Recommended?....possibly with caveats. If value is not your number one priority and you need lactose or gluten free then give it a try as you probably won't be disappointed. Otherwise, there are far better Italian offerings in the area.

Update: Sadly, I would now reduce my rating to zero if I could. After two hours, I started feeling very unwell, with stomach pain and inflammation. This made the whole experience much worse than expected. Initial evaluation: 2 stars The eating experience, service, and ambiance were all fantastic. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere very pleasant, and the food itself was truly delicious — the flavors and taste were absolutely on point, I really loved it. So why only 2 stars? Unfortunately, I found a hair in my meal. For me, that’s simply a no-go in any restaurant. Especially in a place that takes so much care to provide gluten-free and lactose-free dishes, you would expect the basics like food hygiene to be guaranteed. If they can control such complex dietary needs, avoiding something as simple as a hair in the food should be the easiest part. To their credit, the staff did apologize and even offered me the tea on the house, which I appreciated. Still, the experience left me disappointed overall. I truly hope they address this issue, because otherwise this restaurant has the potential to be excellent.

Fantastic Italian restaurant that is 100% gluten free and also lactose free. Great vibe with large open windows in summer and comfortable seating. The pasta dishes were all excellent, and they also had really nice beverages including non alcoholic aperitifs. The service was great and fast. Would be perfect for a date night or celebrations as well. My non coeliac friends also loved the food so much. As a coeliac myself, I'm super glad this new place exists in Berlin!
