Tenga en cuenta que todos los platos en este lugar son sin gluten y sin lactosa. Pedí el ossobuco y estaba delicioso, pero llegó un poco frío a la mesa (como si hubiera esperado demasiado tiempo en la cocina antes de ser servido). Mi novio, en cambio, tuvo el problema inverso: sus penne genovese estaban demasiado calientes. También mencionó que estaban saladas. El pastel de postre fue poco impresionante. Además, las copas de vino son inexplicablemente caras (costaron lo mismo que algunos cócteles). En general, no nos sentimos inclinados a volver.

Interesting new Italian eatery just opened up in a very competitive area of Mitte. It's very close to Torstaße and as a result needs to be on top of its game if it has any chance of succeeding. Cheap Italian pizza and pasta restaurants are very numerous in this area but this is not one of these! This is a niche Italian restaurant specialising in gluten and lactose free Italian staples like Carbanara and Lasagne. The ambience in the restaurant is rather interesting with a glass fronted kitchen so you can see into the inner workings of a busy professional kitchen. Nice touch. A unique glass elevator takes you downstairs (you can use the stairs!) to the toilets. It's a little 'clinical for my tastes but if modern is your thing, you will like it. Service was great. Attentive and knowledgeable. Perfect balance. The food was also well above par. My carbanara was perfectly prepared and the lasagne my wife had was equally well cooked. Salad was a little bland and needed something to lift it up. Only 2 small issues that need to be mentioned was that 1) we waited for a good 40mins for our main courses, which i felt was not justified as it was not a completely full sitting when we were there and 2) for the money I really expected to be blown away by hand made pasta but, unfortunately, the pasta on all our dishes certainly did not taste or look like hand made to us. I ended the meal with a very stodgy dessert I couldn't have finished even if I had wanted to. All in all at €150 for 3 people, value for money is definitely lacking here. Recommended?....possibly with caveats. If value is not your number one priority and you need lactose or gluten free then give it a try as you probably won't be disappointed. Otherwise, there are far better Italian offerings in the area.

Actualización: Lamentablemente, ahora reduciría mi calificación a cero si pudiera. Después de dos horas, comencé a sentirme muy mal, con dolor de estómago e inflamación. Esto hizo que toda la experiencia fuera mucho peor de lo esperado. Evaluación inicial: 2 estrellas La experiencia gastronómica, el servicio y el ambiente fueron todos fantásticos. El personal fue amable, el ambiente muy agradable y la comida en sí era realmente deliciosa; los sabores y el gusto estaban absolutamente en su punto, realmente me encantó. Entonces, ¿por qué solo 2 estrellas? Desafortunadamente, encontré un cabello en mi comida. Para mí, eso es simplemente inaceptable en cualquier restaurante. Especialmente en un lugar que se preocupa tanto por ofrecer platos sin gluten y sin lactosa, se esperaría que las bases como la higiene alimentaria estén garantizadas. Si pueden controlar necesidades dietéticas tan complejas, evitar algo tan simple como un cabello en la comida debería ser la parte más fácil. A su crédito, el personal se disculpó e incluso me ofreció el té de cortesía, lo cual agradecí. Aún así, la experiencia me dejó decepcionado en general. Realmente espero que aborden este problema, porque de lo contrario este restaurante tiene el potencial de ser excelente.

Fantastic Italian restaurant that is 100% gluten free and also lactose free. Great vibe with large open windows in summer and comfortable seating. The pasta dishes were all excellent, and they also had really nice beverages including non alcoholic aperitifs. The service was great and fast. Would be perfect for a date night or celebrations as well. My non coeliac friends also loved the food so much. As a coeliac myself, I'm super glad this new place exists in Berlin!
