Wow! I am mind-blown by this authentic Italian restaurant in Thun, Switzerland. This was by-far the best pizza I have ever had! It has been hard for me to find gluten-free and vegan options until now, and here at Del Padre, they have incredible soft gluten-free crust, deliciously roasted vegetables and most importantly, gourmet ans perfectly-melting vegan mozzarella cheese. Additionally, they serve incredible sauces to compliment your order - olio basilico, olio piccante, Erbette aglio e olio, oregano and pepperocino. They even made a specialty arribiata sauce upon request that was out of this world! The flavors were enough for me to rate this is as one of my favorite restaurants in Switzerland, but add to that the most picturesque view and ambiance by the river with beautiful, old weeping willow trees offering shade. And directly above the restaurant, a view of the Schloss Thun Castle creates an other-worldly feel to match the impressive authenticity of the food. And to top all of this off with a great wine list and an amerreto to finish, and you cannot ask for a better experience from start to finish. I am amazed by the quality of the food, the service, and the ambiance. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough to anyone. I will be traveling back to Switzerland at least twice per year, just to eat delicious, gourmet, authentic, healthy Italian food at Del Padre.
