A two-story gluten-free restaurant located in the inner side of a quiet residential area. They had excellent breakfast options, a rotating menu, and staff who are passionate about raising awareness of gluten-free options for locals and tourists. I had a good Autumn-themed French Toast here and a really unique latte. A good mix of sweet and bitter paired well together. I only wish they opened up earlier for breakfast. The staff, who speak both native English and Japanese, were really great at sharing local hidden gems with tourists when they weren't too busy. If you want a good, sweet breakfast, visit a unique hidden gem, or a spot to fill your belly while getting help finding some of the best local gems around Osaka, check out Folk茶菓 cafe + bakery. Groups of 1-8 people were fine; walk-ins were acceptable; and English-only wasn't an issue. Prices are reasonable compared to other gluten-free restaurants.

A wonderfully cozy cafe with vegan and gluten free options. We had the mushroom pesto sando set, and it was absolutely delicious! (As a symptomatic celiac, I had absolutely no reaction!). There is a lovely upstairs area with tons of beautiful plants on the balcony and relaxing music. It was so peaceful after all the hustle bustle of Dotonbori and Namba. On top of the amazing food and vibes, Erika also took the time to write down a list of other gluten free recommendations in the Osaka area - honestly such an amazing duo running this cute spot!! Side note: they also have cool hats

Folk is a wonderful cafe owned by a lovely husband and wife team. They have a great selection of vegan and gluten free desserts as well as some really tasty savory foods. The sandwiches we had were amazing and the baked goods were really some of the best desserts we had in all of Japan! The restaurant has super cozy vibes and we loved that it’s located in a quieter part of Osaka. We really wanted to come back but, unfortunately, our itinerary didn’t allow it. Osaka is lucky to have this place!
