Really loved the buckwheat gluten free waffle I had here but when I went there were not a ton of other GF options and it was probably 50/50 on what was GF and what was just vegan. Maybe they had sold out?

Really cool little store! Their entire spread of food was vegan and gluten free and it all looked very good! Had the pumpkin cheesecake in store and it was so good! Took a few pastries away for an early morning train ride and they held up really well. Everything is wrapped so it makes it easy to take away for later!

Wonderful little place!! Their entire pastry spread this morning was vegan and gluten free. We had some gorgeous matcha "cheesecake" (one of the best dairy-free cheesecakes I've ever had) and some lovely herbal tea in their cafe. Then we picked up pastries to go. The other half of their store is a lovely little market, tons of (if not all) vegan options, and the staff was so friendly and kind!

I have troubles eating gluten, and my friend has troubles eating foods containing dairy products. You can only imagine our surprise when we stumbled upon Midoriya last Monday, during our day trip to Kanazawa. First of all the store is quite big, which is kinda surprising as usually these kind of stores are quite small and unassuming in Tokyo. On the contrary I would say that Midoriya is hard to miss as it's located on a traditional looking road pretty close to Omicho Market. On Monday a lovely market was also happening in the area, which kinda made the overall vibe very nice . Unfortunately we got there maybe a bit too late, so there were not too many vegan and/or gluten free freshly baked foods (but there were plenty of other products!) so we only got one cookie each. My friend got a vegan caramel cookie, she told me it tasted quite good but it was a bit dry. On the other hand I got the chocolate chip gluten free biscotti. Which, dipped in a latte, was heavenly. I'll surely drop by again if I ever happen to be in Kanazawa!
