The store is well-stocked, clean, tidy, and well-managed. Unfortunately, I must note a complaint regarding the employees. I accompany my wife whenever I can, and almost every time we find the same saleswoman alone or with other colleagues. Although she may have been there longer than the others (out of courtesy, I won't mention her name; the description I'm about to give is so clear it's hard to confuse her with anyone else), this doesn't justify her unprofessional behavior during those moments, and I say this as a manager: she represents the company in everything she does and says, and she is its image, but I believe she doesn't fully grasp this concept. If it doesn't happen all the time, it's almost always when we enter; often in front of present customers, she is on the phone complaining about her shifts, I don't know with whom exactly, and if it is with the owner, I strongly advise to give her a stop, it's absolutely unpleasant to hear, and if she's not on the phone, she complains to colleagues about what she claims hasn't been done by those who were there before, in an authoritative and totally out-of-context manner. It's a continuous complaint about how she works while others don't. To call her moody would be an understatement; when she feels good, everyone is happy, she greets, acts friendly, and adds more to the cheerful atmosphere. However, on her bad days, you can greet her politely, but expect no cordial exchange. Moreover, my wife has noticed multiple times, after buying bread, that when she is present, by mere coincidence, it always arrives home broken. I'm talking about sliced bread; I want to think she wasn't paying attention when putting it in the bags, but for extra assurance, my wife keeps it aside and bags it herself, so it arrives home intact. It’s already difficult to keep such a delicate product intact; let’s imagine. I believe the store itself deserves five stars, and I don't think it's fair to leave negative feedback on Ms. Giorgia, who I consider an excellent professional and absolutely deserves the highest rating. However, regarding the unfortunate experience with this employee, I specify that she seems to want to control everything and everyone but in the worst possible way. If she were to manage in the absence of the owner, I absolutely don't think she is suitable for the role. Even when you approach her trying to build a customer-store trust relationship, depending on her mood, her behavior varies every time; it’s not her who tries to give you importance and attention or to be cordial with you, but you, as a customer, must be extremely careful to give her importance and kindness; otherwise, it’s the end. It's unacceptable to endure this kind of behavior. I am, however, convinced that the owner, Ms. Giorgia, is not fully aware of the behavior adopted by this saleswoman, and I invite her to take control of the situation because it severely damages the image and pleasure of shopping in a comfortable store like hers. The last time I entered, and then I’ll close the matter, the same saleswoman addressed her colleague so rudely, bullyingly, and arrogantly that I was stunned, and I was almost about to intervene. That was the last straw after so many years. Last month, I was in the store and pondered several times whether to review it or not. Ultimately, this morning, thinking that I would have to return, I would like to, but I imagine how many others who have not said anything here think like us about finding a serene, relaxed environment, not an employee who decides the mood even indoors; we all need sunshine. I wish Ms. Giorgia finds staff that represents in the best possible way all that she has achieved with sacrifice and that they are the professional image she clearly values greatly. I’m sure she will know how to resolve the current situation in the best way possible and I wish all the Pedemonte staff good work.
