Small typical Slovenian restaurant. The staff only speaks English but we understood each other right away. Very attentive to gluten, she advised me on what to take. We had a 4-course menu for 25€ and I was able to eat everything up to dessert.. They also had bread for me. Highly recommended.

This place deserves its recognition in the Michelin guide, undoubtedly the best experience I had in Ljubljana. The venue is very modern, well-kept in its appearance and atmosphere, with the possibility of dining inside or outside during the summer, on one of the most beautiful pedestrian avenues in Ljubljana. The girl who served us was very kind, polite, and professional, but above all, she was cheerful; it was evident that she is very good at relating to customers and makes you feel pampered. The menu we chose was the 3-course lunch menu, where the dishes are selected by the chef, and very kindly, the waitress informed us of what dishes would be served that day. I want to emphasize this for those who, in comments, complain about the choices in the 3-course menu: if you're not delicate you can go with the à la carte menu, or politely indicate your preferences. I am intolerant to tomatoes, and all my requests were fulfilled. For each dish, we received a detailed and interesting description of its composition. We started with the chef's bread, accompanied by a bread foam and a cream with pumpkin seed powder — a fantastic start. Together we savored a delicious, biodynamic, and local wine. The first course was a pepper soup with boiled carrots — incredible, you could taste the pepper on the tip of your tongue while your palate was intoxicated by an explosion of spices and flavors. The main courses we chose were one meat and one fish; the pork chop came in a delicious sauce accompanied by potato gnocchi that, along with the homemade mayonnaise and polenta, were truly incredible — intoxicating and well-balanced flavors. The catfish in cauliflower sauce had a more delicate flavor, but the combination of these two ingredients was perfect; each enhanced the other and together they conveyed, in their delicacy, an impressive taste. Finally, the dessert, which is the most important dish of the restaurant, because it marked its foundation: a soft crumble of caramelized sweet dough, together with strawberries and strawberry sauce, drowned in a vanilla cream, marked the pinnacle of this experience — a delicious dessert that showcases the chef's mastery of combining flavors and providing complexity and depth to his preparations. The price was more than fair; we spent about €80 as a couple for the 3-course menu, plus wine and drinks, plus coffee, which for a renowned venue in downtown Ljubljana is excellent. It was an incredible experience; if anyone happens to want to have lunch while really eating well while passing through the center of Ljubljana, this is an absolutely recommended destination.
