I am coeliac and so obviously can’t just get any old cake but Vida bakery don’t just do any old cakes they do the most incredible beautiful delicious gluten and dairy free cakes which means the whole party can enjoy them. All my gluten eating friends said it was the most delicious cake and didn’t notice it being gluten free. I asked for a specific design and it was better than expected! highly recommend.

I don’t normally post bad reviews for small businesses but we really feel ripped off and quite frankly disrespected after our experience. The bridesmaids and I wanted to order a beautiful gluten free cake for the bride for her bridal shower, as she is gluten free. The reviews looked great, so we thought it would be safe to order from this bakery, but how wrong we were. Firstly, communicating with them was an absolute nightmare and basically impossible. We wanted to organize delivery of the cake to the bridal shower venue and even after repeated attempts to contact them, we were either brushed off or ignored. Eventually, two days before the event, my friend was able to get in touch with them and delivery was finally paid for and sorted. Talk about last minute and by the way we had paid for the cake way in advance online. The day of the bridal shower, we were informed that the cake was actually going to be delivered by uber instead of an insulated van on a hot day. We felt misled as we had paid £18 for delivery! The cake ended up looking awful! It looked like a child could have made it- no care was put into the cake at all and it arrived messy. The taste was ok (slightly dry) but the presentation of the cake looked so bad that we thought it was made to look bad on purpose. In the end, the bridesmaids had to spruce up the cake themselves and added edible flowers and blueberries to make it look half acceptable - bare in mind we are not professional bakers. I have attached the before and after of the cake and it looked a little better after we spruced it up. It’s safe to say we will never be ordering from this bakery again.

We’ve used Vida twice now for birthday cakes for our coeliac daughter and they are absolutely fantastic, great customer service and so delicious. Our guests couldn’t believe that it was gluten, dairy and egg free. The cakes looked and tasted fantastic and we will definitely be ordering again

We used Vida Bakery to supply our wedding cake for our wedding back in April. The cake was absolutely delicious and was decorated beautifully & just how we wanted it! My wife, who is coeliac, was so impressed with the cake & Vida’s operations which gave her a lot of peace of mind for the day. After being let down quite late from our previous supplier, they were SO easy to work with & able to turn it around so quickly which we were so grateful for! Thank you & highly recommend 😊

Sono molto impressionato dalla torta di compleanno che ho ordinato! È un capolavoro culinario. Sono così felice che sia vegana e senza glutine e che appaia comunque presentabile. I partecipanti al compleanno non vegani erano al settimo cielo.

Ho ordinato molto da Vida Bakery in passato perché ADORO i loro cake pots e recentemente ho ordinato i loro cinnamon buns che erano assolutamente deliziosi! Come celiaco, ci perdiamo così tanto dato che il glutine è ovunque e non sono riuscito a trovare cinnamon buns senza glutine da nessuna parte, quindi ero al settimo cielo per averli trovati e non vedo l'ora di ordinarne di più! :)

Una meravigliosa panetteria e ottima comunicazione. La torta alla vaniglia era deliziosa ed è così raro trovare qualcosa di senza glutine e vegano. Grazie mille per avermi permesso di mangiare la mia prima torta dopo tanto tempo :)

Vida sounded like the perfect option for our wedding cake, ensuring my wife was able to have the perfect day without the worry of cross contamination. They did not dissapoint, to the point I had to convince the coeliac's in the room that it was a GF cake. With free reign on the design elements, they gave us the right balance of traditional with modern style. It was delicious, some might say the "icing on the cake" to a perfect day!!

Sono rimasto stupito di poter trovare una panetteria che produce torte senza glutine, uova e latticini. Quando l'ho fatto, ho dovuto far preparare una torta per il compleanno del mio piccolo. Hanno soddisfatto tutte le mie aspettative, il gusto, la decorazione, tutto perfetto. Ottima comunicazione e molto gentili quando ho ritirato la torta.

Abbiamo avuto una torta vegana e senza glutine deliziosa e bellissima per il nostro rinnovo dei voti grazie a Vida Bakery. I nostri ospiti hanno fatto moltissimi complimenti riguardo l'aspetto e il sapore - Dani e il team fanno magie da pasticceria basandosi solo su alcune foto di Etsy che ho inviato!

I have been a repeat customer of Vida Bakery for many years! They have made birthday cakes for me and my family and even made my wedding cake and wedding cupcakes. I went to their Brick Lane shop for years, have used their amazing postal service, and now they have a new space with takeaway on Saturdays I have been several times to get my Vida fix! Their flavours are always so innovative and absolutely delicious - you would never know they are 'free from', and I have had many family members without dietary requirements say they are the best cakes they have ever eaten. As someone with coeliac disease it is amazing to be able to eat such glorious cakes. Dani and Vane are wonderful human beings, too. I highly recommend them to everyone!!

Wow incredible - my cake was done with last minute notice and was delicious. You can not even tell it’s gluten free and it’s so much better for the body and the mind. Finally was able to celebrate a birthday together as a family for everyone to eat. This was a chocolate pistachio cake with pistachio and chocolate hazelnut filling with caramelised hazelnuts. Superb combination. Slightly on the sweeter side but I can’t complain at all this was incredible!

Vida is our favourite bakery in London! My kids want it to be their birthday every weekend because their birthday cakes the last couple of years have been incredible - the only downside is their friends get jealous 😂 finding something both gluten-free and vegan isn't easy - but to make it both of those things plus RAINBOW inside🌈 just blows us away. The best service and dog-friendly too. It's sad to see the two reviews below mentioning the music - Vida is is LGBTQIA+ positive (and run!) - I just saw on their Stories that the person working that day who put the music on is queer themselves, and didn't know that the artist was problematic. It would have been more productive for the diners to mention it to the staff on the day, rather than share negative reviews of such a welcoming space. Going back for earl grey cake asap 💕
