I really don't like leaving reviews for small businesses, especially restaurants right now. And I'm gluten-free. But I ordered the cedar plank salmon for what $38 I literally got three slices of salmon that weigh no more than 3 or 3.5 ounches combined. I even asked the server how much ounces I'm supposed to get for my salmon and he said 7 or 8 oz (after going back and talking to the kitchen) and I was shocked. I left hungry and annoyed and I'm a mere 125 lb. Yes he was new, but even then he didn't offer to give me anything or even bring out some more salmon. I'm happy to change this review and even give this restaurant another chance but I need to understand more.

This place is great! Helpful and friendly employees; the head chef (I think owner) greeted us at our table and spent several minutes in friendly chat. Nice touch. But the food. Terrific! OK, it's pricey, a real splurge, but the food was delicious, the portions were generous, but not ridiculous. Just right. Oceans and earth describes the menu (steak and seafood at our table, vegetarian available) and the decor; cozy but not crowded. Live classic (not classical) music... BUT it's become quite popular; must make reservations. Open 5-9pm, Tues- Sat. AND the entire menu is GLUTEN FREE!!

This was a wasted trip. They are gluten free, but cannot, will not, make changes to their food to accommodate a dairy allergy. I don't understand why you would pre-bread your chicken with a dairy powder. So many people with gluten allergies have other allergies, you would figure a place that serves one allergy would be able to serve others. We left without eating...

One of the most Amazing restaurant experiences I’ve had in a long time! Don’t think of this as a just a gluten free restaurant first…it just happens to be dedicated gluten free, but no sacrifices to quality or taste are made. Some members of my family were unaware we were in a GF restaurant and were shocked when I told them. Everyone said it was one of the best meals they’ve had in a long time. As someone who gluten free, it was so nice to not be an afterthought, to not only have one choice on a menu or to be stuck with nothing but a salad. It was a very special meal. Everything was beautifully plated and the desserts were the most creative! We are only visiting the are for a week and the whole family wants to go back. Make a reservation!

Please make your reservation in advance. I was looking for a gluten-free restaurant to visit with my niece, who has celiac disease, and her dad. We selected Oceans & Earth and were not disappointed. However, our visit could have ended before it began as we learned upon arrival that reservations were required. (I did not see this fact on their website, nor did I see it when I checked just now.) Fortunately for our party, they were able to accommodate us on the patio. Our meal was amazing. We started with the Monster Guacamole and the Ahi Tuna Poke. Both were generous portions, and we had plenty to share. The poke was especially delicious. It had a sweet marinade on it that was particularly perfect. My boys ordered the hamburgers and couldn't even tell the difference with the gluten-free buns. My niece and I shared the fried chicken together. (The picture is what we had left after we each took our portions.) It was such a tender bite, and the breading was light and perfect, not overwhelming like some can be. My niece enjoyed the twice baked potato as well. She said it was like mac & cheese. We also sampled the creme brulee and a selection of macarons. My favorite was the pumpkin spice. The creme brulee was topped lemon verbena and blueberry "caviar" and served in a caviar tin. Such a charming presentation. I wish I had remembered to get a picture of that. A note about noise: They had live music inside, which made it rather noisy. We were thankful to be on the patio, which was much quieter.
