Ask the saleswoman for advice regarding fructose intolerance. She checks the documents but finds nothing and asks a colleague. The colleague says that gummy bears are fructose-free. However, due to the manufacturing process, it cannot be ruled out that they might contain some fructose, and the bears can contain up to 0.5% fructose. Looking at the ingredient list: sugar. Sugar consists of 50% fructose. When I pointed this out to the lady, she became quite unfriendly. She said it wasn’t her job, she had no idea about the subject, and could only say it might occur during production. I tried to explain again why these bears are absolutely not fructose-free, simply to help for the next time. The lady raised her voice. Conclusion: Do not offer advice on topics you are not knowledgeable about and honestly say, we can’t provide information, just selling something blindly!
