We spent as much as a seafood dinner in Fiumicino for a dinner with fried food and gluten-free pizza: something doesn't add up..

the food is not bad, the service is a bit slow

We ordered pizzas this evening through Deliveroo. In particular, I chose the "Calabrese" gluten-free. Really excellent: competitive prices and very kind staff. See you soon!

We came for both lunch and dinner, so we had the chance to try first courses, second courses, pizza, and desserts. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS! Great selection of ingredients and maximum attention to gluten free. Valentino was very kind, gave us excellent advice, and was attentive to gluten-free needs. Highly recommended! We will definitely return.

We went to the Vecchia Locanda Frascati with eight people, four adults and four children, and we had a great time! The little ones had a blast in the Playground area, which allowed us to dine peacefully. In our group, there was one celiac, one vegetarian, and one vegan: they accommodated everyone without any difficulty. The pizzas are truly excellent, cooked in a wood-fired oven, including the gluten-free version that tastes just like the 'normal' one. The pasta is homemade and you can tell by the quality. The highlight? The desserts: outstanding! All made in-house by their bakery, Locanda Bakery, even in a completely gluten-free version. Friendly staff and welcoming place. Valentino is a gentleman... We will definitely return!

We returned to the Old Inn Frascati after some time and I confirm that it remains one of the most reliable and genuine places in the area. What I appreciate most is the care they put into everything: from the artisan-prepared dishes to the quality of the raw materials, to the kindness of the staff. The part that really makes the difference is the attention to intolerances: they have a separate lab free from gluten and lactose, completely free of contamination. It is not the usual "adapted" proposal, but real, curated, and safe dishes. It is rare to find a pizzeria/restaurant that guarantees this level. The pizza is excellent, light and digestible, and the fried foods are crispy and never greasy. I also tried the gluten-free lasagna: surprising, there is no noticeable difference. The desserts are also very good, all made in-house: you can tell they are not industrial products. The venue is spacious, clean, and suitable for families, with areas for children and the option to dine both indoors and outdoors. Fast service, always available staff, and more than fair prices for the quality offered. For us, it remains a point of reference in Frascati, especially because it combines quality, food safety, and true hospitality. Highly recommended.

Very good and digestible pizza, also great gluten-free pizza. Great attention and professionalism of the staff towards celiac disease. The place is large but always very full, so the service is a bit slow. The fixed menus are excellent, really convenient.

Dinner for 2 on Sunday, September 8, 2024. 1 Gran Pizza menu Mixed fried Frittura Bruschetta Margherita pizza with sausage 1 gluten-free pizza menu 1 supplì 1 bruschetta 1 Margherita pizza I must say that the gluten-free supplì was better than the regular fried (which I think were frozen), tasteless bruschetta, Neapolitan pizza with a crispy edge (I think it's called "modern"). 1 draft beer and one gluten-free bottle. Service charge of 2 euros per person. Anyway, nothing to remember as a pizza experience. Staff a bit clumsy at first. Paid 46 euros (not cheap), I paid with a 50 euro note and 1 euro in coins, and the owner absentmindedly puts the money in his wallet without counting it, I wait a bit and then he asks me, "Do you need anything else?" And I say, "Yes, the change of 5 euros" 😅, he apologizes and gives me the change... well, it can happen. Instead, as soon as we arrived and gave the name for the reservation, they could not find my reservation but still found us a place. Anyway, in my taste, culinary experience for the pizza gets a 6 (1/10).

I ended up at La Vecchia Locanda for dinner with colleagues; we were welcomed and seated outside in a very quiet atmosphere, with tables spaced apart. We ordered a mixed appetizer to share, including supplì, croquettes, cold cuts, cheeses, and focaccia. After that, we continued with pizzas, hamburgers with fries, and tagliatelle. One of my colleagues eats gluten-free, and there was a dedicated page for Gluten Free in the menu (which we accessed via QR Code). Everything was served at the right pace, with care and attention from the waitstaff. It's a shame I ended up without dessert because they had run out of the chocolate cake, which they only had 2 of, instead of 3 available, and they served them without notifying us that the 3rd would not be coming. I will definitely return to try that Chocolate Cake that I gave up to my colleagues!

The pizza is good 🍕, the service is excellent, good for everyone intolerant to lactose and gluten. The place is very clean, a small flaw is the lighting in the parking lot, which is very dim. Everything else is fine!!

Pleasant evening, they reserved a table for us outside, and it was cool and distanced from the other tables. The staff was very friendly and nice. The fried foods and pizza were very good. Even my daughter, who is celiac, was able to enjoy gluten-free fried foods and an excellent pizza. Baked in a wood-fired oven. The previous time there had been a mix-up with the oven and we had to wait a long time... but that can happen. However, the pizza was so good and the manager was really sorry, which made me want to try again. And I was right to do so! Congratulations to all of you! See you next time!

I would like to share my experience at this restaurant. Background: at the table with me and my girlfriend (lactose intolerant) were two other couples of friends, one of whom had celiac disease. There is a lot to write about, but I will try to keep it short: we asked if the "old inn" appetizer was for 2, and we were told yes. Obviously, we ordered 3, and when they arrived, we discovered it was actually for one. So, in addition to the cold cuts (which were good) and the excessive amount of cheese, we received very little. We also ordered a red wine that we were told was not cold... but we didn't think it was that warm, so we had to ask to put it in the fridge. When the first course arrived, the two plates of amatriciana came for my friends (including the gluten-free one), and the waiters didn’t know which was which! One of the 3 tagliates we ordered, which came directly on the plate, was the same color as the plate itself! Definitely overcooked! To conclude, the bill was, in my opinion, too expensive considering the quantity and quality of the dishes served. I don't feel comfortable recommending this restaurant, and we certainly won't be returning.
