Extremely Disappointing Experience We booked a table for 16 team members well in advance for our Christmas dinner, expecting at least a minimum level of organisation. Instead, we were seated in two separate tables right at the entrance, where the door was constantly opening and closing. It was freezing, and absolutely not the environment you want for a festive dinner. What made it worse is that, on the way to the toilets at the back of the restaurant, we noticed the place was mostly empty. There was no reason why we couldn’t have been seated together in a warm area. It felt careless and unprofessional. The service didn’t help either. Our waiter was rude, impatient, and made everyone uncomfortable. For a group booking, this kind of attitude is unacceptable. I ordered a gluten‑free pizza, and what I received was honestly shocking. It was so dry it resembled cardboard, completely inedible. There was no tomato sauce, and the artichokes and olives were of terrible quality. I managed to eat a tiny slice and left the rest. When the waiter asked if I wanted to take it home, I politely declined, explaining I couldn’t possibly eat it — yet they still charged £20 for it. To make matters worse, when the bill arrived, several cocktails were charged at higher prices than those listed on the menu. We had to point it out, which added yet another layer of frustration to an already awful evening. Overall, this was a terrible experience from start to finish. Even the regular pizzas looked unappetising and certainly nothing close to Italian quality. I will never return to Pizza Express, and I strongly suggest others avoid it as well.

Well this place was always good , the food was as it should be, very taste and delicious. The waiter approached us right away, we were confused to what we had last time we visit the restaurant, and the waiter albi was very professional he knew the menu to the perfection, and he suggested us a vegan gluten free padana with extra artichokes. Couldn’t be a better combination. We enjoyed so much. We will be back soon.

I loved this restaurant. It is very well located, quite big so there were many tables available. The staff was very friendly. The menu had many different options, including vegetarian and vegan options. Also, all pizzas were available gluten free, which made it paradise for my sister in law. I would definitely go again!

Had a lovely meal & drinks before a show at the Southbank Theatre! The restaurant was quite busy, but the wait staff was very friendly and prompt! We used Meerkat to get a deal for our meal, which allowed us to enjoy some nice bubbles to go with our meal. Lots of gluten free options as well!
