L'energia e il ritmo di questo posto erano fuori dal comune in una serata di sabato soleggiata, ma questo ha aggiunto alle vibrazioni festose. Siamo entrati come clienti affamati - i miei genitori, assistenti per mio fratello disabile, mio fratello e mio marito. Avevamo trascorso 30 minuti cercando di navigare nel terribile accesso per disabili della ROH per il cibo del caffè dopo alcune ore di camminata - il che è stato difficile per la mia famiglia, e sono corsa al ristorante per vedere se avevano spazio per accoglierci - era affollato, ma l'host ha detto di sì e ha visto che ero un po' stressata ed era rassicurante e calmo - quasi un sesto senso intuitivo del bisogno umano 😂. Lo staff al Balthazar ci ha accolti e si è preso cura di noi e il cibo era 10/10. Abbiamo mangiato dai piatti degli altri perché volevamo condividere quanto erano gustosi i nostri piatti individuali. Mia mamma è celiaca - un'allergia seria - ed è stata ben accolta con ottime opzioni. Il nostro cameriere era intrattenente, informativo e divertente - mio padre ha amato la sua chiacchierata. Siamo tutti d'accordo nel dire che ci piacerebbe tornare. Avete nuovi grandi fan. Un sincero grazie da parte di tutti noi. 💫

rarely leave reviews, but I feel compelled to share my recent experience at Balthazar London — especially for anyone with dietary restrictions. Before booking, I emailed ahead to confirm that I could eat off-menu due to my strict dietary needs. I was reassured this wouldn’t be a problem. However, when we arrived, the waitress was curt and unhelpful, and I was told that ordering off-menu wasn’t possible after all. The only thing they could offer was a mix of ingredients taken from other dishes — eggs, avocado, and gluten-free bread. I repeatedly asked whether the scrambled eggs were dairy-free, and although I was assured they were, I had serious doubts when the food arrived. Still, given that I had nothing else to eat and was there with friends I hadn’t seen in years, I decided to take the risk. For £16, the meal was extremely poor: greyish gluten-free bread smeared with a little avocado and lukewarm scrambled eggs. Sadly, I felt quite unwell afterwards, which makes me think the eggs were not truly dairy-free as promised. I used to visit Balthazar around ten years ago and remember it as a vibrant, aspirational restaurant with great food and atmosphere. This experience was the complete opposite — a huge disappointment and, frankly, a cautionary tale. If you have any dietary requirements, I would strongly advise thinking twice before dining here.

Ho fatto brunch qui e l'ho adorato. Il servizio è stato fantastico e si sono davvero preoccupati quando ho menzionato la mia intolleranza al lattosio. Anche il cibo era delizioso, ho preso i waffle di mandorle ed erano perfetti. Sono rimasto molto colpito quando ho ricevuto una chiamata appena dopo aver lasciato il ristorante per informarmi che avevo dimenticato i guanti! Il personale qui è adorabile e non esiterò a tornare!
