The pizza at Artessenza is always a guarantee. Today we also tried the gluten-free one: simply fantastic, it doesn't make you miss the flavor of gluten pizzas at all. Light and crunchy. It was truly a pleasant surprise. I can't wait to try the other gluten-free products that the place produces!

Great traditional grill with local km0 products, beautiful location, the meat was excellent, prepared with great attention both in the choice of cooking and in the options for the cut and aging. The appetizers were wonderful, prepared and presented with care for detail, and the first courses were abundant and excellent in taste and presentation. A beautiful surprise when the owner, in response to my question about gluten-free dishes for my wife, offered not only bread but also the possibility of making the first courses with gluten-free pasta, a marvel of flavor. What can I say, everything was splendidly prepared in an excellent way, a delight for the palate for both the regular and gluten-free dishes! Immense choice of wines. Ample parking available and their own butcher shop for retail sale of fine local meats. What can I say: impossible not to come to taste their menu. I was there last night with my husband. We were just passing through and it was a pleasant surprise: My gluten-free pizza was certainly among the best I’ve ever had in my now twenty-year life as a celiac; rich, tasty, and crunchy. My husband also appreciated the quality of his 'normal' pizza. While reading the menu, I saw the section for GLUTEN-FREE FIRST COURSES, and I found out that these are only available if booked 24 hours in advance. However, the fish-filled ravioli caught my attention, and knowing I couldn’t count on a second chance soon, I dared to ask if it was possible to buy two portions to enjoy today in the camper. So tonight we experienced another unforgettable moment! They were delicious! Last but definitely not least, I want to make a special mention of the restaurant owner and his wife: friendly, knowledgeable, and very accommodating, they also provided us with valuable tourist tips. I found out about this place through word of mouth and went to dine at the restaurant with my boyfriend. Being celiac, I wanted to try the fresh gluten-free ravioli and I was extremely satisfied; they were uniquely delicious! My boyfriend ordered a pizza and he was also pleased.

My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant and we were truly enthusiastic. From the very beginning, we felt welcomed in a warm and familial environment, thanks to the kindness and professionalism of the owners, who proved to be extremely knowledgeable and attentive to the customers' needs. One of the aspects that impressed us the most was the phenomenal attention to gluten-free: here, celiacs can eat in total safety, without any worries, thanks to impeccable care in the preparation of the dishes. It is truly rare to find a place so safe and welcoming for those with this dietary requirement. The quality of the raw materials is excellent, and every dish we tasted was rich in flavor, well presented, and prepared with great care. You can clearly perceive the love for cooking and the respect for details. We recommend this restaurant to everyone, not just to those looking for a safe place for gluten-free options but also to anyone who wants to enjoy quality dishes in a friendly and pleasant atmosphere. Artessenza is not just a restaurant but, above all, a very specific concept: its great chef and storyteller Giuseppe is the pioneer of gluten-free in Bruzia land. At the Artessenza restaurant, you can take a 360-degree culinary tour, starting from the history of the art of each delicious dish... My partner and I opted for a pizza, super good and light, a work of art that pays homage to our tricolor 🤩 As an appetizer, we chose a mixed fried platter (potato, meat, rice, and eggplant balls, of which no photo is attached simply because they were devoured too quickly for how good they looked). Everything accompanied by a special craft beer produced in-house. All of this (including the beer) gluten-free: this is the hallmark of the Artessenza restaurant, an authentic institution of dining in Cosenza 😍

I had a great evening spent at the venue. I have been gluten intolerant for 19 years, and knowing that a pizzeria guarantees gluten-free options makes me very happy. I ate well (pizza and fried foods) and the owner is nice and friendly, but most importantly, knowledgeable.

Fantastic evening with a seafood menu and the famous Paella as the first course. What can I say, it felt like being catapulted to Spain, but the Cosentino accent of the owner brought us back to Castrolibero, leaving the taste of Iberian flavors. I have been celiac since I turned one, and discovering a place like Artessenza is a dream that rarely comes true, especially in Cosenza. Giuseppe is a wonderful person; he made us feel like we were having dinner at a friend's house. All the dishes we tried were delicious: from meatballs (of all kinds) to the fried foods (very light) and finally to the pizza (really delicious, flavorful, and very easy to digest). The raw materials are of excellent quality, and the prices are absolutely honest! Even the gluten sandwich my boyfriend had was excellent, well filled with delicious ingredients, and the beer offered was more than appreciated. We will definitely return (for takeout and to eat in) and spread the word as much as possible because it’s beautiful to be able to let our guard down every now and then and enjoy a magnificent evening without any fear of contamination!

Artessenza: Highly recommended! Beautiful place, meticulously cared for, with excellent service and quality even in the gluten-free world. The gluten-free pizza is fabulous. We were a group of 8 people, one of whom is celiac, and this pizzeria managed to reconcile these two worlds. Our Calabrian evening was framed by sandwiches with sausage and potatoes, sandwiches with turnip greens and sausage, and meter-long pizzas with very unique flavors. Giuseppe, the owner, is number one in the restaurant business, a friendly person who pampers his customers. For us, he is our reference point in Cosenza. Long live Artessenza!

We celebrated our daughter's birthday and everything went splendidly! The owner managed to organize everything in such a way that both the kids and the parents had fun. The freshly made rotisserie was delicious! Giuseppe (the owner) was attentive to all our requests, very accommodating. What can I say – the party was successful, I highly recommend the venue.

Cosy family-run pizzeria with indoor/outdoor dining and take-away options serving a wide variety of Calabrian-style pizza, which has a thin, slightly crispy base, and a selection of panini, both of which can be made with gluten-free crusts and bread, respectively. There is also a small selection of Antipasti, some of which are gluten-free, like the Four Fried, consisting of 4 different types of croquettes including beef and aubergine/eggplant. Both the pizzas and panini include ingredients typical to the region of Calabria, such as the unique, mild and slightly sweet Cipolle di Tropea (Tropean Onions), ‘Nduja (a Calabrian spreadable spicy pork sausage) di Spilinga (‘Nduja from Spilinga, province of Vibo Valentia), Patate Mbacchiuse della Sila (potatoes from the Sila mountains) and ingredients even from the province of Cosenza, where the restaurant is located, such as Olive Schiacciate (crushed olives) and Salsiccia fresca Cosentina (Cosentian sausage). I have been here numerous times and have thoroughly enjoyed every single pizza I have tried, such as the ‘Italy’, ‘Silana’ and ‘Hellboy’, if you can handle spicy food! Although I don’t have a gluten intolerance, the Chef-owner suggested I try the gluten-free rustic-style loaf, and WOW - I’m so glad I did as I was so impressed; it was absolutely delicious! I’ve honestly never tried gluten-free bread this good before, it’s SO much tastier than most regular bread I’ve tried in the U.S.A., no exaggeration! They also sell their gluten-free Pane (bread) by the loaf or as Panini (smaller ‘rolls’). I highly recommend you also try the gluten-free bread, even if you don’t have a gluten intolerance, it’s just THAT GOOD. Their delicious dishes are homemade, and you can tell they’re made with love! In addition to this, the owners are so warm and welcoming, and make you feel like family. A hidden gem that can’t be missed if you visit Cosenza!

The first time I eat gluten-free pizza and I couldn’t be more satisfied. Excellent dough with the right leavening and flavor, also considering lactose intolerance. The bread and appetizers are gluten-free as well. The owners are very kind and helpful. We will definitely return.
