it's easy to understand what is with gluten and what is without (from the menu-legend hanging behind the ice cream counter) practically today everything was gluten free. Moreover, the cones are all gluten free, so zero contamination from wine or zero extra charges for us.

They are not AIC/AFC certified. But the cones are all gluten-free, and the products they use to prepare all the flavors are gluten-free as well. So there is no risk of contamination. There are also many lactose-free flavors. Last but not least, the ice cream is good!

After more than a year since my first visit and averaging 4 visits a week (yes, sometimes even multiple times a day 😄), I can confidently say that Gelato al Quadrato is a true excellence! I am celiac and lactose intolerant, and here I found a wide variety of flavors that cater to my needs, far beyond the usual two fruit flavors found elsewhere. Most of the flavors are also vegan, so there is truly something for everyone! From classics like stracciatella and pistachio to more unique flavors like Crema al Quadrato or Caramel with Salt, each one is better than the last. In summer, the slushies are spectacular, while in winter, the affogato and desserts are an absolute must-try. The ice cream cookies and fruit on a stick are also worth trying: fresh fruit popsicles in a super original format. Finally, Alessandro, Martina, and all the staff are always kind, smiling, and helpful. The welcome is warm and makes every visit even more enjoyable. A truly special place. A must-try!

Today I tried the gluten-free cone with stracciatella and hazelnut, I must say that the ice cream is excellent, the portions are generous just like they used to be, a dream for those with celiac disease because it is 100% safe. I don't give 5 stars to the food just because the pistachio was finished. Clean place and friendly staff, well done!

As someone who is lactose intolerant, I have always had trouble finding ice cream shops that offered flavors beyond the usual (few) fruit options and classic dark chocolate. Here, however, almost all flavors are lactose-free and gluten-free (where applicable, the two allergens are indicated), as are the cones. Finally, those with intolerances can also enjoy a creamy ice cream! Another positive note: generous portions 😉 (cone with 1 flavor in the photo)
