The Taverna Bicèr is a small tavern located in the heart of Reggio Emilia, offering a cuisine inspired by regional Emilia recipes, but with a touch of creativity and attention to intolerances and special needs, creating a welcoming and family-friendly atmosphere where every customer feels at home. We organize private events to make every occasion special. Our team is made up of passionate and dedicated professionals who ensure the highest quality and service. The venue is part of the two safe eating out circuits from Aic (Italian Celiac Association) and Aili (Italian Lactose Intolerance Association). In addition to traditional dishes, we also offer vegan and vegetarian options.

I have been to this place, attracted by the positive reviews which I can confirm, all of them. The staff is very nice and truly courteous. The dishes are delicious and also unique. My little celiac devoured the lasagna and tasted dishes from the entire table!

Beautiful experience for an aperitivo. Excellent products, and ALL GLUTEN FREE. Special mention for the stuffed eggplant and the caponata. Great wine list as well as beer selection. Owners and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.

I'm finally eating erbazzone again, it feels like a dream! The owners are really careful about gluten and lactose, as they are among the first to suffer from it and therefore understand the discomfort of being contaminated, along with the related consequences.

I discovered this small but very welcoming place! The two guys who run it were nice and the service is fast! For someone who is lactose intolerant, knowing that I can eat everything without limitations in the company of my friends is fantastic! I will definitely come back.

An informal place, found by chance, and it amazed us. From the appetizer to dessert, we trusted the recommendations and left satisfied: culatello di zibello, spalla cruda di Palasone, classic tigelle with mortadella tosone and pesto, erbazzone, apple pie with cinnamon, and then a second helping of the loose tosone. All accompanied by corn bread and black rice, turmeric focaccine, tigelle, and focaccina with flaxseed, quinoa, and rice. Everything originally gluten and lactose-free. The owners are top-notch both in the kitchen and service. We enjoyed excellent gluten-free beer and apple and hop juice. We arrived on time before aperitif without a reservation, but during usual hours, it seems recommended.

I discovered this restaurant thanks to a friend. As a coeliac (with vegetarian tendencies), I am absolutely thrilled! 😍 It's a paradise! We had a tasting of vegan cheeses, WONDERFUL! Then vegan meatballs and crepes with truffle and ham. All accompanied by delicious 100% gluten-free bread and focaccia. And let's not forget the erbazzone. I think it's the best I've ever eaten! Truly a spectacle! Irene and Luca, the owners, are incredibly kind, wonderful people who are also great to chat with, super helpful and welcoming. I will definitely return! ❤️❤️❤️

We were here on Easter afternoon, around 5 PM, and we were pleasantly surprised to find that the kitchen was still open! This little place has a really welcoming spirit, and the fact that the entire menu is completely gluten-free is a huge added value!\n\nThe owners are incredibly kind and it was a pleasure to stop and talk with them! During colder weather everyone sits inside this quaint little gem. But there’s plenty of seating outside and that’s good because they’re going to need it. The gluten free menu seems simple, but the dishes deliver some of the most wonderfully flavorful surprises. And if that wasn’t enough, Luca and Irana couldn’t possibly be more attentive and passionate about the history of Italy, its wines, and the healthy platters they deliver. This is a winner and I’ll definitely be back to this little piece of heaven!

Five stars aren't enough! A small and family-run place, they have few dishes but that's because there's an incredible attention to cooking behind it. We had the pleasure of chatting with the owners after dinner and they were truly kind! The restaurant offers all dishes gluten-free and lactose-free! The parmesan tacos with pulled pork are the best dish, in my opinion! They also have gluten-free super tasty fried gnocchi and tigelle! We went with a child and they were wonderful, immediately providing him with paper and markers to color while waiting for dinner, amazing! I really believe this will become my favorite restaurant, making you feel safe like at home 😍

5 stars are not enough to describe this place. Amazing food: gluten-free, lactose-free, super tasty, different, fresh, and let's not forget about the dessert. Absolutely a must-try are the parmesan tacos with pulled pork!!!! Service is a thousand out of ten!!! The owners are very kind, friendly, and courteous. A diverse wine list from the 'usual' with options from the region as well as unique Sicilian selections.
