During this weekend, I stayed at B&B Alighieri 21 and I had a really great experience. The place was clean, well-maintained, and welcoming in every aspect, absolutely recommended. Being a lifelong celiac and very sensitive to contamination, eating out has always been a major problem for me. In the past, I often relied on places that claimed to be gluten-free, only to have negative reactions. My last negative experience was about three months ago, and since then I have been more cautious. In this context, I was directed to the restaurant Trionfo di Ferro. I decided to go there personally to speak with the owner, Angela, and from the start, I felt a level of security and professionalism that I rarely encountered. The owner was extremely attentive and reassuring, explaining in detail all the gluten-free management. The place has a separate kitchen and all necessary procedures to avoid any contamination: dedicated frying, isolated utensils and spaces, and a meticulous attention to detail. I ordered a steak with potatoes and, later, a gluten-free cannoli. Both dishes were excellent. The meat was served covered with a cloche to ensure further safety, a detail I greatly appreciated. The cannoli, besides being delicious, was presented in a theatrical way on a beautifully decorated base themed around Sicily. The location is also very nice, the bathrooms are well-kept, and customer care is constant from start to finish. There is a real sensitivity to those with food intolerances, not only regarding gluten-free but in general. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for safety, quality, and genuine care for the celiac customer. It is rare to find such a complete and reliable establishment.

Difficult to choose in San Vito given the vast selection, but after careful consideration, we went here and it was great. Gluten-free busiate and a special Sicilian cassata served on a colorful plate shaped like Sicily that I'm sorry I couldn't take a picture of! :) The pizza was nothing special, definitely not the strong point of this place.

If you are celiac in San Vito, you are saved: many restaurants are part of the Aic circuit (Italian Celiac Association). However, if you are also vegan, you can only hope that evolution is faster, because we are in the Stone Age. So just order a pizza, so you can choose the ingredients. But at that point, no one informs you that the pizza base is not made by them! Therefore, you get a flat, defrosted thing, hard as a rock, and when you point it out, they even tell you it’s the best in the country. The pictures speak for themselves. I had never left a pizza on my plate in my life. However, the prices are good (and they have to be) and the waiters are very quick.
