At Gianni's, it was a fantastic culinary experience. The staff is very kind, quick, attentive, and knowledgeable about gluten intolerance. For starters, they offer gluten-free risotto which can be paired with any sauce from the restaurant; although they don't have gluten-free pasta, you won't miss it. All second courses and appetizers can be made gluten-free, except for fried dishes. They have packaged gluten-free bread and pay great attention to customer care. Fair prices. We will return!

Very good dishes and quality raw materials! I chose the seafood menu: we can eat many appetizers, all the toppings for the first courses to pair with the risotto, and many second courses, practically all except for the fried dishes. There are also some desserts. The staff is young and friendly. Very attentive. Too bad about the location because if you’re not looking for the restaurant, you won’t find it right away.

Outstanding food and unparalleled safety for coeliacs and allergies! We had an absolutely incredible dining experience at Da Gianni, and as someone managing coeliac disease and multiple food allergies, I cannot recommend them highly enough. The staff was phenomenally knowledgeable, attentive, and took our dietary requirements completely seriously. What truly blew us away was their exceptional hospitality and grace. We accidentally forgot to mention a sesame allergy when ordering, and when we realized and brought it up, they didn't blink an eye. Without a single hint of hesitation or frustration, they immediately and happily remade the entire plate to ensure it was 100% safe. The gluten-free food was delicious, fresh, and prepared with strict cross-contamination protocols. It is so rare to find a place where the food is this spectacular and the staff makes you feel entirely safe and welcomed rather than like a burden. A must-visit in Portoferraio!

We returned after years to Portoferraio, had lunch and then dinner at Orecchietteria da Gianni. Excellent food, friendly and knowledgeable staff, very nice to see the basket of the daily catch, special treatment for people with CELIAC disease, the owner ANDREA is a friend to all his customers. Prices are very reasonable and fair. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. We will come back to visit you soon.
