One of the go-to pizzerias for those, like me, who need to eat gluten-free. The location is strategic, as it is situated in one of the most picturesque neighborhoods of Livorno. The pizza is good and the prices are affordable. It's a pity about the staff, who are often annoyed, nervous, if not downright rude. More than once I have felt that my "special" requests (gluten-free pizza and without mozzarella) irritated the girl taking my order. I don't expect to feel uncomfortable due to a health issue, especially in a place "equipped" for gluten-free. Additionally, recently I found the place particularly messy, less elegant than it used to be.

The location is fantastic both inside and outside, situated in one of the most beautiful and suggestive areas of Livorno. It is well-stocked for gluten-free and lactose-free options, making it suitable for those with intolerances and allergies, as it offers a good selection for everyone. We had a gluten-free focaccia with bresaola and ricotta, which was simply fabulous, along with a classic dough pizza that was well-topped but nothing extraordinary. A small downside is the staff, who were always in a hurry, not very smiley, almost 'irritable', and we waited almost an hour for two pizzas. Other than that, I recommend it.

Gourmet pizzeria with high-quality products and everything gluten-free (except for a few items). I've only tried this pizza once, but I can already put it among the best I’ve had. Light dough, but the difference is made by the ingredients. Very extensive menu with many interesting options, making it hard to choose. The price is obviously higher than normal. One star less, however, for the very slow, sometimes rude, distracted staff, divided into roles (or at least too many roles). Several times, I had to call multiple waiters who always responded, "I'll call my colleague," even though they weren’t doing anything in particular, and meanwhile, 20 minutes would pass. When the waitress finally arrived to take the order, she didn’t have a nice way of speaking, always responding arrogantly. One order arrived with half the ingredients and cold.

We had dinner at Chez Ugo. The table was placed in a wonderful position: outdoors with a pleasant view of the Livorno canals. We were greeted in a friendly and warm manner. Silvio, the owner, took great care of us during the service and brilliantly solved a tiny misunderstanding regarding the timing of the courses. In the end, we found ourselves chatting with him and the neighbors at the table, in a pleasantly family-like atmosphere! The pizzas were excellent (even the gluten-free one). The dough was flavorful and crispy. The quality of the toppings was great. We will definitely return!

At Ugo's: always a certainty. Excellent pizzas (including gluten-free ones) and nothing more needs to be added! The place is very nice, well-kept, and retains, in my opinion, the historical originality combined with a more modern touch in the decor, which goes well together. It's exceptional to be able to eat outside during the summer near one of the canals of Livorno, with the typical atmosphere of that port city. Prices are in line with other pizzerias regarding the classic menu, slightly higher for gourmet pizzas, but the quality of the ingredients and the product are worth it, as in any other pizzeria you would spend the same amount of money. So not only good food, but also a location that fits well with the menu and the city.

The beginning wasn’t the best, they had lost the reservation, but even though it was Saturday, they quickly made up for it by finding us a nice table (for 9 people). The appetizers were excellent, very varied and truly tasty. The pizza was not bad, with a soft crust that I really like, but completely lacking in salt! The waiters were very kind despite the crowd. They are definitely prepared and equipped for celiac disease and intolerances. Would definitely try again.
