Wow wow wow!! Absolutely one of the best gluten free establishments we’ve ever eaten at!! I don’t know how they do it. But the sambousek and manoush flat bread dough is beyond description. Truly. In 21 years of being gluten free I’ve never had a gluten free dough so soft and chewy. Yet still light and not greasy. The kafta karaz meat flavors with cherry sauce was out of this world! The garlic cheese bread phenomenal. We are from New Jersey visiting LA. Wish we could live near here to enjoy this phenomenal restaurant regularly. Thank you to the owners and chef for creating one of the best gluten free eateries anywhere in the U.S.!!

Best gluten free restaurant I’ve ever been to!! LOTS of vegetarian and vegan options. This restaurant made being vegan and gluten free unusually easy, and made my coworker who isn’t vegan and gluten free feel welcome, too. Food was very flavorful— I’ve never had eggplant like that before in my life, and I’ve been feverishly scouring google for a similar recipe to make at home. The bread was NORMAL sized: if you’re gluten free, you know the disappointment of being gypped of a decently sized piece of bread, despite paying extra for it; no need to worry about that here!! The pricing was very fair for the quality and quantity of the food, especially for being entirely gluten free. (Although I wouldn’t mind slightly larger portions.) Service was also excellent. The owner and the waitress went above and beyond to make sure that my family was well taken care of. Ambiance was great. Lots of natural light and good artificial lighting, too, that wasn’t too dull nor too bright. The furniture was aesthetic, but functional—which I find is a hard balance for many restaurants to strike. Overall, I’d give this restaurant a 5/5. I’d give it a 6/5 if they’d open a location in the Phoenix metro area :)

I was really excited to find this place as a caterer for my sister’s bridal shower coming up in a few weeks. She is gluten and dairy free and wanted a variety of pastries and Levant has awesome options (a rare special find!). I reached out via email and was sent back the menu immediately and told to reach out with questions which was great (this was in April). Unfortunately I reached back out 4+ times since then and got no response. I also called the restaurant multiple times and when I could get a person they said I had to talk to the manager and he would be in at night (very late for me I live on east coast) but that they would leave a note to call me. I never received further response via email or phone. I had a friend stop by last night to check out in person and she was told unfortunately the manager just isn’t responsive and they had multiple other customers call with the same complaint that day. Really sad because I think the food would have been perfect for the shower but I just can’t trust they will deliver and I can’t even get someone to place an order in the first place!

Absolutely wonderful food and is worry free if you are gluten free. We split the mezze appetizer and then went for the pizza because hey, when can my fresh ever have a pizza when she is out. The bistro is beautiful, the service is top notch. I am looking forward to sampling some of their sweets next time!

The service was absolutely amazing and the restaurant was beautiful! I wish there was one closer to home! Let me speak it into existence! Please bring this restaurant closer to Maiden NC!

This is an absolute MUST if you are in LA, whether you are gluten free or not. We got the Mezza Platter, Lahmajeen, Spiced chicken and braised short rib. All PHENOMENAL. The star of the show, though, was the Knaffeh. I have no words other than please don’t miss the opportunity to eat authentic delicious Lebanese food & support a family-owned business at the same time. 10/10 service 10/10 food 10/10 experience overall We’ll be back!!!

Some of the best gluten free food my fiancé and I have ever had. If you’re celiac, it’s safe. The beer however does say notes of malt/hops so be careful! Our server Lorenzo was super nice! :) definitely returning!

visiting LA for the first time and found this on google maps. As a palestinian with celiac, I was so happy to experience Lebanese cuisine for the first time in a very long time. Everything was gluten free and delicious. Will be back for sure! I want to try everything - so yum!

Delicious gluten free Lebanese food! We had the grilled octopus which was tender and had a delicious dipping sauce. Loved the garlic cheese bread. Enjoyed the zaatar labneh— so many spices! Also had the spiced roasted chicken which was tender and had a great flavor! Overall a delicious meal, great service and nice atmosphere.

WOW. Seriously impressed by this dedicated gluten free Lebanese restaurant and bakery. Authentic flavors and delicious food. Favorites were the Egg Pie and Lahmajeen. The dough was so fluffy and delicious. Hadn’t had Knafeh in ages, really good not too sweet. If you’re Celiac, GF or just want great food that’s easy on the tummy you have to try this place.

Everything was 10/10. Amazing, strong flavors, beautiful presentation, super allergy friendly. This gluten free and dairy free eater was able to eat a lunch where her non-gf friends enjoyed the food as much as she did. The flatbread (manoush) was so soft and pliable, I was surprised it was gluten free. Everything on the menu is 100% gluten free and they have a lot of dairy free versions. Free parking out front if you’re lucky and some side street parking as well. We ordered the goat fig manoush, short rib scramble, and eggs and batata harra. All were super tasty. The rose cake is seriously amazing. My spouse loved the gf DF bread pudding, and the baklava tart is a short bread tart with subtle good flavors. I highly recommend. Bruce was an amazing server with attention to detail.

The food here is DELICIOUS. The entire menu is dedicated gluten free, even the beer. The staff were friendly, mellow, and clearly proud of their food (and they should be). I had the garlic bread (comes in a sizzling hot skillet with crispy edge of cheese all around), the shawarma hummus with veggies (delicious), and the trio of sambousek (cheese, spinach, and chicken + goat cheese). The bread is warm and light and chewy just the way you want it to be. The flavors are excellent. Got the Lebanese coffee too and it’s two cups worth! Spacious interior and great outdoor patio seating with a gentle cross-breeze and plenty of trees and umbrellas for shade. Very relaxed atmosphere overall.

Couldn’t be happier with our meal and service at Levant. I’m gluten free and my boyfriend is Lebanese and we were both blown away. We had the cheese bread, spinach sambousek, lamb kibbeh, and zaatar + labneh. I was also so excited to finally have a good GF beer. The staff and owner were all so sweet and great to talk to. Really can’t wait to go back and try all of the dishes. Highly recommend!!!

We had a fantastic brunch at the Levant Bistro. You do not have to be gluten free to enjoy their food, it's fantastic. But the piece of mind you get, as a celiac, to visit a dedicated gf restaurant is like no other. What a treat!

This place was absolutely incredible and such a hidden gem in echo park. So much flavor and attention to detail in every single dish, and the ambience + service was lovely. Food: - The garlic herb bread was divine- I’d go back here just for this. The bread was surprisingly gluten free and had a yummy chewy texture mixed with fresh cheese and herbs inside. - The platter - this was deliciousss and came with freshly made, gluten free pita bread and 3 different dips (each of which were sooo flavorful and balanced). Everything on the platter was so good, we couldn’t stop eating haha. Even the rice was well seasoned with a slight apple cinnamon flavoring. Could tell that the ingredients they used were very fresh- the server told us all the meats were organic & grass fed which was a nice plus :) - Dessert - this was our first time trying Knafeh which is melted cheese encased in a crispy flour shell with pistachio & lavender. SO good, we were so full after this but our forks couldn’t stop going back for more. - Drinks - they have a solid drinks selection of coffee, lattes, teas, wine, etc with happy hour from 3-7pm. I had one of their roses which was delicious and paired well with the food Ambiance/parking: - Very clean and friendly service here! It’s nice but not pretentious. Would recommend eating on the patio if the weather’s nice but they also have indoor seating and wifi. - We came on a Saturday at 6pm with a reservation and saw multiple parking spots in the lot right outside the restaurant. Could imagine parking being more difficult at a busier time tho. Overall, I honestly don’t think you can go wrong with anything on their menu- the food was some of the best Mediterranean I’ve had in a while. I’ll definitely be back to try their brunch menu/other items!
