Rifugio Kubelek is a cozy place with a design that resembles a mountain house. It offers gluten-free options including main dishes and desserts, but the menu is limited for vegans and vegetarians. Advanced reservation is recommended to avoid long waits.

Very touristy refuge but welcoming. Good food and gluten-free options available (e.g., first courses, desserts…). Staff a bit distracted, probably due to the large clientele, but I recommend it!

Except for the initial moment when they wanted to convince our group to order a fixed menu instead of à la carte "otherwise the dishes would arrive after 1 hour," they actually brought us the dishes quickly. Since many had intolerances, it would have been pointless to have a fixed menu at €40 to eat only half of it! In the end, we managed with €25 each and had a good meal! Good meat, good appetizers and first courses, good wine. In the end, they were accommodating.

Reservations should be made in advance because if you arrive there, you will have to wait even more than 40 minutes. We booked in advance (a family of 3) near the window with a view, and they placed us next to the parking view window, in a room that was cold and drafty. The internal environment was very chaotic and FULL of people, but warm if you are in the central hall and the second one, we were in the third hall. The design is very nice, reminiscent of a grandparent's house in the mountains. The staff was scarce but quick, they were attentive to us and executed any request immediately, but there were tables complaining about the service and lack of dishes. The menu has limited options, especially for vegans, vegetarians, or those with celiac disease, and I find the menu style wrong; allergens and various information are not indicated. Everything is meat-based, especially the main courses. We requested a mixed platter of cheeses and cold cuts; the cold cuts were abundant, while the cheeses were only 6 pieces of 3 types of cheese, that is, 1 piece of cheese per person, priced at €12, a bit excessive given that it was a small platter and we saw other tables with larger ones. The homemade tart had too much jam, which is overwhelming if eaten abundantly. I don't find it fair that the water bottles are already on the table; I prefer them to be brought after we are seated. The pasta was without bacon even though the menu states WITH bacon, priced at €7, and we paid €7 even without bacon. The potato gnocchi were with meat sauce at €7.80; I took them plain with oil and still paid €7.80. Cover charge €3, I find that high; they also charged our 1-year-old daughter, who ate with me. Beautiful scenery. Few parking spots; we arrived at noon and it was already full. The high chair brought to my daughter was dirty. We went on recommendations and good reviews, but I'm not sure if we will return.
