Une expérience très décevante. Je suis arrivé aujourd'hui avec ma famille. J'ai la maladie cœliaque. J'ai commandé 2 pizzas sans gluten. La base préfabriquée avait la texture d'une pâte humide. Les ingrédients étaient de mauvaise qualité (olives carbonisées). Nous avons pris quelques bouchées et avons laissé la plupart sur les assiettes. La serveuse sympathique a remarqué et a demandé si tout allait bien, j'ai expliqué doucement que les pizzas n'étaient pas bonnes (et c'était un euphémisme). En 2026, il existe d'excellentes pizzas sans gluten. Servir ces

Les serveurs étaient sympathiques et offraient d'excellentes options pour tous nos besoins alimentaires, y compris des options sans gluten et végétariennes. La nourriture était d'excellente qualité, fraîchement préparée et prête en moins de dix minutes. Le serveur a fait un effort pour se connecter avec notre famille et a très bien pris soin de nous. Il était tellement drôle ! L'emplacement était accessible et n'était pas du tout bondé.

Endroit merveilleux juste à Leadenhall. La meilleure pizza sans gluten et vegan que j'ai jamais mangée. Notre serveur était vraiment très sympathique et drôle, aussi (Ivan).

Tout, depuis le moment où nous sommes entrés jusqu'au moment où nous sommes partis, était merveilleux ! J'ai une allergie au gluten et le personnel était très concentré pour s'assurer que j'obtenais ce dont j'avais besoin ❤️

La nourriture était vraiment délicieuse comme toujours. Nous avons habituellement aussi des pizzas sans gluten, qui sont fortement recommandées. Le service était agréable et amical.

Tellement réconfortant d'avoir quelque chose de fiable sans gluten. Leurs articles sans gluten sont servis sur un tableau noir ou une serviette noire afin que vous sachiez que c'est la version sans gluten. Des boules de pâte et de nombreux types de pizzas sans gluten sont proposés.

Hello, I have also sent this email to head office, but myself and 4 other friends visited Pizza Express at Leadenhall yesterday (20th December) and were shocked and appalled at the service and attitude of the staff. We were seated downstairs with little to no issue, as the restaurant was not even overly busy, but things went downhill from here… We were greeted by what can only be described as a ‘moody’ and ‘rude’ waitress. We eventually had our order taken after we waited for some time. We ordered normal plain dough balls and pesto loaded gluten free dough balls, and 5 pizzas as expected for 5 people, plus one dip. We also ordered 2 beers and 1 margarita cocktail. Plus water for the table. We waited a while for our drinks to arrive, and even then we received our starters before our drinks, and even no water was served to the table until we asked. We then find out, not only, there were no gluten free dough balls, but unsurprisingly, the waitress was unapologetic and offered no alternative or explanation. To make matters worse we were also then served 2 lots of dough balls (both non gluten free) plain and pesto, so what I would assume be the alternative to serving the pesto gluten free balls…. Not exactly a valid or considered swap for one person at the table that cannot consume them. For a restaurant that has a collaboration with ‘Coeliac’ it is disgraceful that this was served to the table. We did raise this with the waitress but once again, there was little to no explanation or apology. We were then served the drinks (and the water!) only when we received our pizzas (and no surprise there was no dip!), whilst the dough balls were still being eaten. All in all a bit of a joke. We were then shocked, even further, as a 6th pizza was delivered to the table…. We soon realised that the margarita cocktail order had been delivered as a margarita pizza. Someone then ordered a Diet Coke instead, and no surprise they even got that wrong… just a regular coke was served. It is absolutely laughable and beyond belief that staff and an establishment so reputable as Pizza Express can be so appalling at customer service. By far the worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant in the City of London. I would love to hear what the head office/ restaurant have to say about our shocking visit, for what can only be described as something out of Fawtly towers. Not only were the staff rude and unapologetic, they were clearly not trained at all and completely unaware of customer service or restaurant etiquette, as everything that possibly could go wrong did go wrong. I will not be returning to this restaurant, or any for that matter. .

Located in the enchanting setting of Leadenhall Market in the heart of the City of London, this restaurant offers, among other things, a wide choice of gluten-free pizzas. So ideal for those whose gluten intolerance is an everyday problem. Very good welcome from the staff, attentive to the customer (I am a French tourist not mastering the language of Shakespeare). Thank you for this sweet moment at Pizza Express.
