Good food, and a wide choice of gluten-free dishes, nice place. However, we did not find gluten-free pizza, I don't know if they don't make it anymore or if it was a problem that day.

Welcoming, well-kept, and spacious environment. Excellent quality/price ratio. We had the platter and pici with Chianina, simply everything was good and abundant. The staff was polite and very kind. We had a celiac diner who could eat from appetizer to dessert (not just a simple packaged brioche). The wine recommended was also excellent.

I chose this restaurant for a gluten-free dinner in Castiglione del Lago. We dined in the outdoor garden despite a strong wind and the threat of rain; however, we were assigned a table in the covered porch, so we had no problems. We chose all dishes from the AIC menu: two appetizers (carp roe and zander salad) with two main courses (eel skewer and carp in porchetta). I found all the dishes very "strong," with a distinct and obviously sea-oriented flavor. I really enjoyed the zander salad, which was very fresh and flavorful. I was less satisfied with the eel skewer, which was quite dry and overly salty. We accompanied everything with a baked potato cooked in the ashes. To drink, we chose a glass of Ascanio white wine (highly recommended) and a glass of rosé. The service was attentive but not intrusive. The bill was about €75 for everything I mentioned.

It will be a bit of a long review, but necessary. Point 1: when I emailed to ask for information and make a reservation, but above all to make sure they could guarantee dishes that took into account my celiac disease and my intolerances/allergies to lactose, pepper, and oregano, I was contacted by phone by Daniela, who presented the various options to me and then told me that, since she would be absent that day, she would assign me to Christian. When I arrived at the restaurant, Christian was there waiting for me, and throughout the dinner, he, the waiters, and the kitchen were always very attentive in advising me on which dishes to take and in making alterations to meet my needs. SERIOUSNESS AND CUSTOMER ATTENTION: 10. Point 2: Food and drinks of excellent quality and flavor, aesthetically pleasing and served by polite, professional, friendly waiters who always had a smile. RATING: 10. Point 3: I had requested a specific type of table positioned in a certain way. I was accommodated without batting an eyelid. RATING: 10. Point 4: Excellent value for money. I would have thought I’d spend much more but that wasn’t the case. RATING: 10. Point 5: The restaurant was full, yet the waiting times were very acceptable. We ordered at 8:30 PM and by 10:45 PM we were finished (four courses, mind you). RATING: 10. I’d say I’ve covered all aspects. In short, GO THERE because I can guarantee it’s worth it both for the food and for the view of the lake.

Fantastic restaurant with a view of the lake. Beautiful terrace both during the day and in the evening to admire the sunset in front of a good meal. You can choose between typical Umbrian dishes or pizza with an easily digestible dough. Recommended for CELIACS since they have a dedicated dough. Excellent quality-price ratio! Great selection of wines! Professional and attentive staff! Experience to be repeated! 👍👍👍👍👍
