I have a small son with celiac disease, and in this establishment, they assured us of thirty years of experience with celiacs... My son was very ill during the night after having dinner (at this place)! This hasn't happened in years. Is there no supervision? Is there no proper attention? Is there a superficial attitude towards contamination possibilities? Is there a lack of knowledge about the consequences? I don't know the answer; I only know that this is unacceptable for a venue that boasts such experience. We're not considering the quality of a dish with too little or too much salt; in this case, it’s health that is at stake!

Edelweiss Stube is a must-stop for us every time we are in Sappada: the quality of the products is excellent and the staff is kind and attentive to everyone's needs. I am celiac and it is the only place in the area that has a varied and safe menu, in terms of contamination, for gluten-free: homemade breads of different types, strudel, tiramisù, tarts, lasagna, pasta, gnocchi... in short, a paradise for celiacs! In the photo is the gluten-free savory tiramisù. The menu follows the seasonality. Meat is predominant but vegetarian and gluten-free options are also available (the crepe lasagna with vegetables is delicious). Gluten-free desserts are also available for breakfast/snack. Another very important thing for us: it is a dog-friendly place!

What can I say, a restaurant located in a charming mountain tourist area that offers fabulous and typical dishes, resulting in a top experience. This is our second time at Edelweiss, this time I had the tagliolini with deer sauce and the beef fillet with green pepper and crispy porcini mushrooms, while my girlfriend opted for the gluten-free dedicated menu (very rich) as she is gluten intolerant. Impeccable service. Of course, we will return.

The place is welcoming, the staff is kind, the dishes are good, abundant, and served with great care. It was Ferragosto, the place was packed, and unfortunately, we had to wait a long time. The gluten-free menu is exceptional. It is not cheap; the dishes cost an average of €15/20 each. I still come often to this place because I feel good here. I would advise the restaurateur to pay a bit more attention to the temperature of the wine.
