Hadn’t been to this branch for a while, since they stopped doing the mushroom (Boscolo?) said, however, we went one late afternoon for lunch. From the start I was really pleased to see a lovely sounding GF salad on the menu, with the ability to add in extra protein. I ordered the roasted veg and chicken salad with extra goat’s cheese. Really lovely flavours, and I got a side of GF dough balls added as well! The main thing I appreciated was that our server, Kirby, came promptly, and took the entire order in one go, so no need to wait. Plus she brought everything together, even though my husband had ordered the regular dough balls as a starter. I really liked that, as I didn’t want to hang around waiting as I was HUNGRY! It is always good to have some choice for gluten free as I’m coeliac. This salad was exactly up my GF street. Kirby was really lovely - personable and efficient, and even noted that we’d already got the bill ready to pay on the app. Overall, a very good experience, and we’ll definitely think more about this as our local lunch spot from now on.

We had a great meal here, catering for vegan and gluten free diets easily! Staff were all really friendly, food was great and a great pre-6 o'clock deal! Thanks to Mac who looked after us!

We’re travelling through the city and they were so kind to watch over our suitcases for us! Our server, Mitch, was such a kind soul and gave us excellent service! My friend has celiac and they were super accommodating, and the food for both of us was amazing! (Pictured is my cannelloni, which was superb!) Highly recommend visiting :)

Lovely meal on a Sunday evening. Restaurant was quite empty to start but then started filling up. Service was quick and our server, Mitch, was really friendlyvand helpful. We have the Pizza Express app so got a special deal on the Romana pizzas, even though one came with gluten free base. Food was hot and delicious. We had the double dough balls to start, shared between 3 and a Pizza each, although no-one could finish theirs. Much too full for desserts. Overall a lovely evening and cost £35 each including drinks but with the discount.

It was the second time I went to Pizza Express, the first time in Manchester, and I was pleasantly surprised, and I left a great review. So, I wanted to come back here in Edinburgh, but it was very different. The service in this place is really poor and unfriendly. I have some dairy intolerances, and the waitress didn't even know if the salad was vegan and told me to take it without dressing. Of course, she never smiled. Maybe I should have paid extra for that. Also, the quality of the pizzas is bad. I took a Roman giardiniera that should be thin, but on one side, it was so thin that it was burnt. On the other side, it was a centimetre thick and rubbery. Also, when it was brought to me, it was already cold. On top, there was an artichoke broken into four or five tiny pieces, a tiny piece of mushroom and one tiny cherry tomato. That's it. There was practically nothing on it, totally tasteless. I really couldn't believe it. Of course, I didn't leave a tip, I won't go back there, and I won't advise anyone to go there. I shouldn't have even accepted it. I should have walked away, but I was coming back from work, and I was hungry, but I had to leave this review because it's right like this, as I feel robbed and mocked.

Gluten free pizza was a small and lacked flavour. If I had to pick another gluten free dish again, I wouldn't go for the pizza. They are good about taking tesco vouchers though. Service is great and they didn't make me feel like a burden when I said I was gluten free. Location superb and they were kind enough to move me to a table with a light so I could read.
