Recommended for food and service. They helped me with my lactose intolerance. The focaccia is very good, as well as the chicken and the venison stew. Baked potatoes are really tasty. The waitress was kind.

We visited Howies Victoria Street. The restaurant doesn't open for dinner until 5:30 and people are waiting outside for the doors to open. You need to book ahead in order to get in. We received our food and drink very quick despite the place being packed. Food was delicious and they were very accommodating for my husband's celiac requirement. Highly recommend for your trip to Edinburgh.

What a cute little place! The entrance is a vibe and the inside is cozy and small. They utilize the small space very well and manages to fit in plenty of tables. It feels a bit tight but it is worth it for the elegance and the food!

LOVED this meal. Very popular with large groups and tourists- can see why, the food was GREAT. So definitely book ahead of time as many people got turned away for walk-in tables. Smoked salmon starter 👍🏽 Catch of the Day was Hake 👍🏽 Black Pudding 👍🏽 nice atmosphere and vibe. Would highly recommend :) Gluten free options available and menu is very clear about dietary requirements.

Really loved dining here. Very friendly staff and incredibly knowledgeable about whiskey. The food was delicious and they were super accommodating about my lactose and gluten intolerance. Amazing service!
