I ordered a birthday cake last month and was really happy with how it turned out. I’d mentioned my favourite colour and that I like jigsaw puzzles, and they managed to work both into the design in a really thoughtful way. The cake served about 30 people and was fully gluten free, with vegan cupcakes on the side, and everything tasted great. Several guests commented on how good it all was. Overall, the whole process was easy and the end result was exactly what I’d hoped for. I’d happily order from them again.

My friends surprised me by ordering Gluten Free cupcakes for my 40th Birthday from Licks Cakes. These were the 1st cakes I have had since developing a severe Wheat allergy. Alicks is a lovely person who takes a lot of time to understand your vision for your cake. He then produces your dream. He produced a delicious cake for my wedding which was gluten free. He is now the family go to person for cakes for every event worthy of celebration.

Alicks made 200 cupcakes for an event our charity were hosting in Edinburgh - including vegan and gluten free options. They were very competitively priced and the cupcakes were delicious! They were extremely lovely to deal with and very accommodating to requests, including delivering the cupcakes right to the venue. What a wonderful, local business. Highly recommended.

We ordered a gluten free two tier cake, with chocolate orange on one, and salted caramel on the other and both were divine! Alicks was great during the ordering process and went out his way to send us a sample. Definitely recommend!

Really pleased with my birthday cake from Lick's Cake Design. Alick was super helpful with suggestions for design and with advice on best options for gluten free. All my party guests loved it (people didn't even notice it was GF!) and it was a great centerpiece for my tennis themed event. Really friendly & helpful service.

This is the second time I have bought cakes from Alexin Licks Cake shop. I can honestly say they are delicious. This time he made me gluton free cakes and honestly you would not know the difference. A absolute must for everyone.

Bought an 8" cake that was gluten, lactose, nuts and banana free. The cake tasted amazing even if it was free of pretty much everything. The design of the cake was very nice. The service was great and communication with Alicks that makes the cakes was very quick and efficient.

Alicks done a tremendous job in creating and baking a truly wonderful cake for our wedding. It looked and tasted amazing and all our guests loved it. He even supplied in addition some lovely gluten free cup cakes as one of our guests was coeliac which were the picture of perfection and subsequently consumed with much enthusiasm. We ordered a Pokémon cake for my sons 6th birthday and he absolutely loved it! We gave Alicks a brief on what we were looking for and the design he came up with was great. Not only did the cake look amazing but it tastes wonderful! The cake was gluten free so my daughter could eat it as well but it did not taste any different to a normal cake, everyone who tried it enjoyed it. I would definitely order from Licks Cake Design again!

Our gluten free and lacto-free cake was absolutely perfect! The design and the taste was phenomenal and my mum, who has coeliacs, was so impressed that it was still so moist and tasted like an actual cake! It's difficult to find nice gf cakes but yours was brilliant! Thanks so much Alicks, we shall be back!

I loved my Wedding Cake. Quite simply the best I have ever tasted and the design look even better than I could have imagine. Very professional and they could even cater for my all quest. Gluten/Wheat and Egg Free and Vegans. I never even knew you could make cakes for them all. And my "full fat fully sugar cake" was great too! Defiantly recommend them to my friends :-)
