Crispiest fish I remember eating. The gluten free batter was excellent. Bertie's slaw was not what I was expecting from a coleslaw. It had a Indian spice in it. Not my preference for coleslaw, but I'm picky about that.

I visited the restaurant on a busy Friday evening and waited about 15 minutes to be seated, which was totally fine given the crowd. The food was absolutely delicious; the Salt and Pepper Squid and the Battered Haddock fish and chips were both excellent and full of flavor. The gentleman who served me, Momin, provided outstanding service. He was incredibly polite and respectful, and he even went out of his way to let me know the standard fish batter might not be halal, suggesting I order it gluten-free instead. I deeply appreciated his honesty and mindfulness, and his attentiveness really made the dining experience great.

This restaurant was recommended by our tour guide because my husband has to be gluten free and we were hungry after our tour. He was thrilled that he could have battered fish and that you had gluten free craft beer as well! The food was delicious! The hostess also found us a table on the main floor as we are seniors and we’re exhausted after walking the city all morning. A very pleasant experience.

Had the gluten free fish and chips, tried out the onion rings and mushy peas as well. I was happy with how my dietary restrictions were treated here, however everything was too greasy and we needed to pick up some antacids afterwards. We tried many different fish and chip places throughout our two week trip, and this was the only place that seemed to be a bit too greasy. The atmosphere was great though, and the service was excellent; it was a very busy afternoon when we arrived and only had to wait about 5 minutes for a table of two. Overpriced for the portions you receive, but it's right on Victoria Street so it was expected...

Right on Victoria Street. No wait for seating on Friday night. Great staff who reviewed the menu and drink selection with us. Large gluten free selection covering most of the menu. Separate preparation area in the kitchen. The portions are massive so share one order with a friend. Lots of gluten free ciders along with the tartar sauce, chippy sauce, and vinegar. So stuffed I could barely walk.

We had traditional battered cod, had the fish soup of the day which was smoked fish with potato and creamy, the kid had chicken goujons. The waiter was especially very attentive, helped us with our order, gluten free details etc.
