This place is a real gem for celiac people (gluten free allergy), however will definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a tasty meal. The pork buns were sensational. To our taste, the gyoza dough was great but the filling could improve significantly. The ginger ramen was fine, nothing crazy on its own but if you add the house hot sauce the flavour gets a super nice bump (would have liked if they add more fried chicken to it as it only has 4 units, 8 would be better). The fried chicken was the star of the menu for us, would come back without a doubt only to have that. Definitely order the plain fried chicken so you can experience the real texture and flavour, and just ask the server for the sauces that you would like on the side, they were very accommodating to us. Atmosphere was nice and quiet, place is not too big so wait time could be something at peak times. The staff speaks English so that’s helpful in general. Water is also complimentary and they don’t force you to get any drinks, that’s a great win as well. I think price is relatively fair, if they increase the protein amount would be 10/10.

We were dreading coming here after a horrible dinner experience at the Roppongi location the night before (awful, bland food, poor hygiene). Again, we made these reservation months in advance, in preparation for our trip to Japan. We hesitantly came to lunch reservation today, expecting the worst, thinking we'd have to eat more bland food. To our surprise, the food at this location was much more flavourful. The staff were warmer and nicer, and the restaurant was much much cleaner. This restaurant is also more spacious (not large though in comparison to other restaurants) than the other location. The vibe of the restaurant was brighter and more welcoming. This location also offers slightly different menu items. The food came out hot and fresh, and with much more flavour. We were actually able to enjoy our meals here. We ordered the mapo tofu, Chinese style fried chicken, and pork buns. The mapo tofu was saucy, had a bit of spice and was garlic forward. The porn buns were soft and had a nice flavour. The chicken was crispy, spiced and vinegary. The portions were bigger and very filling. This location was actually busier than the other one when we went, yet the quality of the food was still much better. You can feel that there was more care put into these dishes. We actually really enjoyed our experience here and glad we came. We would visit this location again. This restaurant is safe for people who are gluten intolerant and celiac, and actually serves flavourful food. The manager was also kind enough to have a chat with us about our experiences at both locations and was so receptive of our feedback, which was greatly appreciated.

We visited both locations while in Tokyo (and the Roppongi location twice) since it was the year-end holiday, and most/all of the other celiac-safe restaurants and bakeries were closed. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly at both locations. Highlights of the menu for us at this location (Ueno-hirokoji) were the fried chicken with Chinese vinegar sauce and the creamy ginger ramen (10/10 🤩). Their house hot sauce is not to be missed. Putting it in the ramen didn’t make a difference to the ramen and diluted the hot sauce’s flavor, so I’d recommend it as a topping on dry things like the fried chicken or (at Roppongi) the tempura veg. I probably ate half a jar of the hot sauce collectively between my three visits… it was that good!

Omg. I’ve been in Japan for over a week and eating as a celiac has been a struggle. As I round into my last few days here, I was so grateful to find a good spot to really EAT with my non-gf-eating friends who also really enjoyed the food. Today was also my bday!! So bonus points for that. I think we nearly tried everything on the menu and it was all excellent. See pic of part of my spread.

Calling all gluten free travelers…. THIS IS THE BEST PLACE! The food is top quality and the pancakes are so good I eat them almost daily. Truly, I either go to eat in person or I get it delivered uber eats (YES, this is what dreams are made of). The ENTIRE menu is gluten free. The orange chicken, egg rolls, fries, and dumplings are incredible. I had it for lunch and plan to for tonight’s dinner. LOVE IT HERE!
