My wife has celiac disease and finding Shion was a great bit of fortune for us. Not only is it all gluten free but it's absolutely delicious. Shion works another job as well so it's best to check with her if she's available and make a reservation. You will not regret it. Shion is a treasure 😊

Amazing experience, my favorite meal of the trip! Shion does all gluten-free cooking, but she was also able to accommodate a long list of other allergies I sent to her. Everything was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! It was such a cool experience that I'm glad my friends and I could experience together. I communicated back and forth with Shion via email, and we got all the details sorted quickly. She also had some delicious drink options to start us off. The atmosphere is very cozy in the best way (the place is VERY small). HIGHLY RECOMMEND, even if you don't have allergies, but especially if you do! It is hard to make sure food in Japan is gluten-free, so she was a great find! She also provided a take-home bento option that we got for the next day, which covered another gluten-free meal. I had the pleasure of dining with Shion last week and it was such a treat! Making a reservation via email is no problem, because Shion responds quickly. Please note that due to a change in Shion's schedule, she is open ONLY ON SUNDAYS as of now. It is easy to get there via train. Be sure to go to the third floor. Try not bother the other restaurants, they have signs posted that they are not a gluten free restaurant so it seems they've had trouble with confused people. The area is small, but cozy. Shion took such care with the meal. I loved the chicken karage and the fried tofu filled with miso. You can rest assured that Shion has researched the ingredients because she is very sensitive to gluten. I felt perfectly fine after eating here. If you can go, please do! You will enjoy the food and drinks immensely!

We absolutely loved dining with Shion. She prepared an incredible gluten free meal and was also able to cater for dairy free. She even had non-alcoholic drink options alongside an impressive alcoholic beverage offering. Each dish was prepared with love and joy. The personalised, hand written menu and note was so special. If you have coeliac/celiac disease and are visiting Tokyo, this is a must!

My husband and I made a reservation here a few weeks before our trip to Tokyo and Shion accepted on a day she normally isn't opened. She made a special menu based on our preferences which she asked via email beforehand. I wasn't feeling well after we arrived at the restaurant and she packed up my food in to-go containers (even the glass of wine I ordered) while my husband ate his meal there and I drank my water. He said it was the best meal we'd had to date! Authentic gluten free Japanese cuisine. She emailed me the next day to check in and see if I was feeling better, and sent a link regarding gluten free options in Disneyland because we chatted about how we were going! She does not cook with gluten but does have gluten-containing drink options that are clearly labelled.
