Same as every other 5 star review. Book in advance and come here. It's amazing, gluten free or not. The chef, Su, was very nice in accommodating a last minute request. After our booking, we found out my wife is pregnant, but completely forgot to let him know before we arrived. He was able to make changes to the course, fully cook everything, and checked in throughout to be sure all of the fish was appropriate for her. So, again, come here when you visit Tokyo.

I am so grateful for this omakase. Su meticulously prepares each course with simple, high quality ingredients. If your dinner includes the sujini kinchaku course (stewed beef tendon), then you are so lucky - that was my favorite course. I have had some difficulty during our travels finding flavorful dinner to accommodate all of my restrictions (gluten, dairy, spice) - if you have allergies / sensitivities, then you know the beta of just going for “ingredient dinner” (no sauce, raw stuff, rice with plain meat, etc). I was a bit sad because in our 6-day trip to Japan, I was still having difficulty finding a delicious meal with new experiences (so many Lawson’s onigiri for breakfast). But I was so emotional to have 20 different flavorful and unique bites to finally experience the beauty of Japanese cuisine at Kushiage Su. I got to try new ingredients (cod milt, karasumi mochi, fatsia sprouts, tilefish), eat fried food (usually not gluten free at other restaurants), and eat huge variety (usually there’s only 1-2 dishes to choose from at other restaurants). Thank you soooo much!

Wow, what an experience! Cannot recommend enough — was traveling with a gluten free friend and so glad I came with her for this meal. The owner/chef is kind and thoughtful and makes incredible food. I felt very safe eating here with a tree nut allergy too. Every course was spectacular! A MUST if you’re in Tokyo!!

WOW! Words are so hard to describe how incredible this experience was. The entire restaurant is fully gluten free and each person was given a custom menu based on our other dietary restrictions (for me it was no dairy, no pork, no shellfish). Food was delicious, ambiance was lovely, great drink pairing too. Looking forward to returning on my next trip to Tokyo

This omakase experience was recommended to me by my sister who is gluten intolerant and visited this place when she was last in Tokyo. I don’t have an issue with gluten but my sister sold me on the fact that you don’t notice at all that any of the food served (kushiage skewers included) omits gluten. She was right. Every item on the menu was delicious. My favourite was the mackerel with lemon butter 👌🏼. I was very full after the experience. Su (the chef) is also very sweet. You could tell that he took care with everything that he prepared. Highly recommend this place.
