La Rocca dei Vecchi e Nuovi Sapori has been a beloved point of reference for celiacs in Tortona, renowned for its excellent farinata and quality gluten-free pizzas. The establishment, with attentive and courteous service, also offers delicious desserts in a charming location at the foot of the castle.

The venue has two kitchens: one for gluten-containing pizzas/focaccia and farinata (which is cooked in a special oven, but cross-contamination cannot be guaranteed since it's in the same kitchen), and another for boards of cured meats, cheeses, and gluten-free pizza (safer than farinata because it is certified). The menu also features a selection of gluten-free desserts. One note: if you want gluten-free pizza, it must be mentioned at the time of reservation, as they prepare the dough specifically for it.

I believe it is closed at the moment, but it has been a reference point for celiacs in the area and beyond. The farinata is excellent, the pizza is average.

We started with the idea of pizza but there were changes, gluten-free pizza needs to be mentioned when booking, only 4 choices whereas before there was a rich menu of pizzas. Excellent cheese focaccia and farinata, quick service, professional and kind staff.

The only place that offers good gluten-free pizza in the Tortona area; the traditional or Neapolitan pizzas are also good, with the right topping and quality ingredients; fair quality-price ratio; the farinata is truly excellent! (This is also suitable for celiacs) unfortunately, like in the whole area, the mosquitoes in summer are quite persistent. The desserts are good without any particular frills. The young service is attentive, prepared, and courteous. The location is nice, directly at the foot of the fortress, from which it takes its name.
