Their wood-fired pizza reminded me of the taste of gluten "pizza"... I would have ordered another one because it was that good. The entire menu can be requested in a gluten-free version and the preparations are made in a dedicated area of the restaurant. I will definitely return to try the other dishes as well.

wide choice of both sandwiches and pizzas!

In a restaurant within the AFC circuit, I don't expect the waitress to tell me "we should have gluten-free pasta but maybe in a different format." Sunday lunch, fixed menu at €15, says the waitress, only to later find on the receipt that the gluten-free menu costs €17, and to top it off, they charge €2 for bread (brought upon my request, but why was the gluten-containing bread brought without asking?). When I ordered the second course, it seemed that there was no gluten-free schnitzel (oh well...), only to later find out, from another waitress, that there was indeed one! Besides the celiac issue, the food was cafeteria-style (at €15, or rather €17, what do you expect??) and the service was chaotic. Oh, the dessert for celiacs?? Fruit!! You like to make it easy, huh?!? Maybe they should re-evaluate these certifications!

First gluten-free restaurant I visited after being diagnosed with celiac disease... What can I say, expectations met! Despite my initial fear, the staff immediately made me feel at ease and reassured me about the correct preparation and storage of gluten-free dishes! Various and abundant appetizers, as well as for the first and second courses, both meat and fish! In addition to the gluten-free version, you can also choose from 6 other types of dough for all pizza tastes! Highly recommended!! Trained and prepared staff!!! Top!

Given that my reviews focus on GLUTEN-FREE options, I must say I am quite conflicted about this venue's judgment. As a first-time experience, it was decidedly complicated and ruined by the waiting times to be served (seated at 8:00 PM, ate the carbonara at 10:00 PM). Let's start with the paper menu, which definitely needs to be revised for the information addressed to Celiacs, which is practically absent and confusing—there's no sense of security. The menu does not allow for an immediate understanding of gluten-free availability (so much so that it becomes natural to ask the staff to confirm that what one is ordering is Gluten Free). I suggest creating a menu dedicated exclusively to gluten-free options and making it more informative within the venue. Nonetheless, the supplì was warm, crispy, and cheesy. The pizza was good, thin, tasty, and well-seasoned. Unfortunately, after these two dishes, I did not receive anything else for about a couple of hours—okay, it was Saturday night, okay, it was busy, but it's just not acceptable. It felt as if they were open for the first time on a Saturday night. A commendation to the staff who are trying their best, running around like crazy, but there is evidently a hitch somewhere because the waiting issue was widespread, as was the deafening noise from children and loud adults. But the sore point was the long-awaited Carbonara at 10:00 PM, which was extremely salty, with undercooked pasta in a lake of oil/fat, and burnt guanciale (clearly forgotten despite prompts and prepared in a rush at the last minute). However, if you find yourself in Velletri, the restaurant has good offerings, and the choice to provide gluten-free options should always be praised, but making a special trip from Rome—no, I will never do that again! PS: thank you for the discount at checkout even without a receipt.

Friendly, cordial, and super accommodating staff. Good dishes served without long waits. A large variety of gluten-free dishes available, with items made directly by them (like the bread). Good fried foods, very easy to digest, and the gluten-free bread mentioned earlier was fantastic. Generous portions, the pizza was quite large (I happened to ask for gluten-free pizza and was served a small frozen one, so this is not guaranteed). Overall, everything was very good, and they make an out-of-this-world tiramisu. Prices are reasonable. I will definitely return.

Very crowded place, uncoordinated waiters, we were five and sat down at 8:10 PM, by 8:45 PM we managed to get the menu, the first course arrived at 10:15 PM!!!!!! My son had ordered a 500-gram steak but it was too late and he canceled the dish, in the end, he didn't eat. We ordered three scissors sandwiches and a gluten-free pizza, all very good but we will NOT return considering it was a birthday dinner well RUINED!

I went out for dinner and everything went well, so I decided to book for my father's birthday... huge mistake. We made a rough menu, and only at my insistence did the owner write something down to establish the price. I mentioned we were 10/11 people, including 2 with celiac disease, and the gentleman replied that one more or less person wouldn’t be a problem. We arrived for lunch, and the adventure began. First of all, they were upset because I didn’t inform them that we were 9 (2 absent due to Covid). Then, they didn’t know what we had ordered because everything on their paper was written in a nonsensical way. There were issues with side dishes and with the fruit. Rude and disrespectful waiters. Final discussion because they wanted to increase the final bill even though they brought less food. But the worst part, which I absolutely cannot overlook, is that a place recognized by AiC (Italian Celiac Association) had run out of the flags used to distinguish gluten-free dishes. In conclusion, I gave 1 star because giving 0 is not possible.

Good pizza, fortunately there’s a place that makes it gluten-free. Friendly staff, except for the blonde lady at the counter, who after making me wait more than 20 minutes for a pizza to take away, had the audacity to tell me that I hadn’t specified "gluten-free" over the phone. All this after a guy had told me that my pizza hadn’t even been made (not even a pizza WITH gluten). What a shame! I’m a very patient person and given the chaos, I would have understood, but I always prefer honest people who take responsibility. Thanks to the waiters, who apologized and were kind! And thanks to the pizzaiolo for the good pizza.

Location just a few steps from the historic center of Velletri. It does not have private parking for cars. Everything was fine during the reservation for a table for 4 for the dinner the next day. We had 2 gluten-free pizzas and 2 with gluten. After bringing us the requested drinks, they independently served us 4 small scissors for cutting the pizzas (thank you, but I had never experienced this before). When the pizzas arrived and we used, as usual, forks and knives, we noticed that the pizzas (both gluten-free and regular) were difficult to cut, causing our table to wobble. Question: were the scissors provided to help us cut? In any case, the pizzas were thin, well-topped, and tasty. The staff in the dining area were kind and professional. Prices are average. They accept credit cards.

More than positive experience, beautiful, clean, and well-maintained place with the option to eat outdoors! Possibility to choose between a varied meat menu or a fish menu. The pizza menu is truly comprehensive, catering to all needs starting from the type of dough. There’s also a gluten-free version for celiacs (AIC accredited restaurant, with competent staff trained on the matter and a strictly dedicated kitchen). The only downside may be the waiting times, which are longer than expected. The evening was spent in complete serenity and tranquility (as I am gluten intolerant myself). Prices are reasonable. Recommended!

Charming place in the center of Velletri where you can still taste the typical Roman pizza: thin, cooked just right, of the right size that overflows from the plate because the plate is too small for true pizza lovers... open on Mondays and with precautions for celiacs...

Restaurant 🔝 from appetizers to desserts you find everything even gluten-free!! Fresh products, many things are prepared by them and the gluten-free bread is fantastic with perfect crumb and crust, it looks like regular bread!!! Another fantastic thing is the courtyard! It is private, spacious, well-kept, very green and there is a beautiful ancient bougainvillea!!

Great discovery, especially for us celiacs! I saw online that at the restaurant "La Forbice" in Velletri, you can eat gluten-free as well, so I decided to go there for dinner. I had some worries not only because it was my first time but especially because gluten-free menus are often very limited and unjustifiably overpriced. I had to change my mind because I was very satisfied. The supplì, pizza, and dessert were delicious and reasonably priced. I noticed that there was a wide choice of gluten-free options for both first and second courses, so I will definitely be going back soon. Despite the large crowd, the service was quick. Excellent quality-price ratio. Recommended.

Very good wood-fired pizza. Gluten-free wood-fired pizza, excellent and my compliments for including it. The uniqueness, and it's no small thing given the rustic location of the place, AGED MEAT, a selection of various types of meat from many parts of the world. Aging also up to 8 months, hard to find even in specialized stores. A delight, a softness, a flavor without comparison. The only downside, for this 4 stars: the price is slightly high considering the spartan/rustic venue. But I am happy that they are so advanced in varying the offer and satisfying every kind of request.

Great pizzeria, the meat and pasta dishes are good. The Cioccari family has been running this business for over 30 years with great seriousness and commitment. Open for lunch as well, it’s a typical restaurant in the Castelli Romani area and the city of Velletri, highly recommended, five well-deserved stars! The pizzeria has 3 wood-fired ovens and a kitchen for celiacs. Excellent sandwiches are the latest novelty at La Forbice, grilled and incredibly rich!!

There are many pizza flavors, both white and red. For an extra euro, they can also be gluten-free. Special flours like whole wheat or kamut are also available. The pizza is thin and very digestible. For those who do not want to eat pizza, there are also first and second courses to choose from, along with some side dishes. The place is quite large, with tables in the garden, but on Saturdays it is necessary to book because it is always full.
