The food was okay, but very pretentious, unflavoured and all my partner could taste in the dish he had was salt and cream - Bolognese with sardines, it was a sliver of a sardine on top & some flakes mixed in (see photo). The starter he had was also tasteless and unmemorable. These are his words. The fish tacos was nothing like I had expected and I also question the waitress before ordering, yet it came out in a tortilla like an ice cream cone sitting in a parchment paper cone. It was okay but again nothing to rave about. For my main course, I had these four pasta type ball things with dried pork, which I actually found fairly enjoyable, although there wasn’t much of them (see photo). We asked the waitress if we had ordered enough food and she said that would be more than enough. After this meal, I had to go and get some chips to fill up. My partner said if it was not for the bread basket, he would’ve left this restaurant hungry. The reason why I chose this restaurant is because I am gluten-free and there were reviews mentioning this fact … yes it is the case that they’re able to offer the majority of dishes as gluten-free, except the couscous, but I can only say it was the most disappointing meal we had in the whole time we were in Sicily. Someone needs to introduce them to herbs & spices! We did not stop for dessert so with water the meal came to €52 for the two of us.,

Simply perfect experience! I was impressed by the warm welcome and the professionalism of the staff, always available and attentive to every detail. The food was excellent, both in quality and presentation, with flavors that make you want to order the entire menu. A noteworthy strength is the attention to gluten-free options: safe, tasty dishes with the same quality and creativity as the traditional offerings (AIC certified). A place where you really feel pampered and leave with a smile. Absolutely recommended, a must-try!

Great overall experience, very friendly and young staff, excellent menu with vegetarian options and especially suitable for celiacs as it is AIC certified (which is no small matter). The wine list is well-stocked, but I was particularly impressed by the selection of local organic wines that are refermented in the bottle, which I have rarely found in other places. The menu is very well curated with delicate yet distinctly different flavors, although the first courses could have used a touch more salt in my opinion (though taste is quite subjective). We ordered: a cod in three consistencies, spaghetti with basil chlorophyll, red shrimp and its bisque, a bucatini with sardines and fennel, a calamari roll stuffed with purple potato and first cheese, an organic wine “Cuè”, water, dessert, coffee, and amaro for a total of €135. The price is more than fair considering the total experience and the quality of the raw materials. Highly recommended for those wanting to take a break from classic tourist spots.

We had lunch at this restaurant after booking with TheFork, it is fully equipped for gluten-free dining with the AIC certification, and we decided to try a first course to share, two main courses, and a side dish. We ordered gluten-free busiate (a typical pasta) with beetroot, mussels, clams, and bottarga, which was truly excellent. Following that, we had squid stuffed with sautéed vegetables and primo sale on purple potatoes, Sicilian style, with ricotta and basil foam, which I think is amazing, all accompanied by crushed potatoes with gluten-free breadcrumbs. The other main course was a tuna tataki marinated in star anise and breaded with pistachio served with green pepper sauce, also fantastic and cooked to perfection. If it hadn't been for the slightly long wait time, everything would have been perfect. Nevertheless, I highly recommend stopping by here as quality food and courtesy reign supreme. Good value for money, and the ability to book on TheFork allows for spending less while eating well.

What a find for gluten free diners in Trapani! Almost everything on the menu can be made gluten free and it’s so delicious you will find yourself wondering if they made a mistake (but don’t worry, my wife and I have eaten here 3xs now and we’ve always felt great afterward). Pros: Phenomenal food whether you need to eat gluten free or not Fresh made gluten free busiate (local traditional pasta shape) Great service (Claudio is the man!) A lovely location in an alley way near the center of the action in downtown Trapani Cons: It’s pricey for Sicily (but they get away with it because the food is so good) Almost too much cigarette smoke to enjoy the meal (obviously not the restaurant’s fault - but it just seems every time we eat here there is a chain smoker at the table on both sides of us and it does hurt the atmosphere)
